Used costco travel to hire car at Nice airport , with 2 days left of hire carkeys were lost . Contacted costco service who were absolutely amazing and helped me as i had difficulties using mobile to contact car hire company . I then was able to contact correct dept to arrange for my car to be towed . Tow truck arrived got into car no keys but bluetooth showed strong signal , stroke of luck found keys behind a planter . All the depts phoned to check I was ok . Cannot fault costco travel it is a hidden gem , nothing was too much trouble ,

We got semi-screwed on a cruise booking, we went with 3 parties in our group who booked together, the 2 of them were able to book an "XB" cabin which is any available balcony, (and subsequently, about 25% cheaper) than picking your own balcony.. we were not able to select the XB option, of course until the next day it magically appeared again for us. We ended up paying +$300 more than everyone else in our group because of Costco's technical error. Not fun! Will never use Costco travel again, total scam and not worth it. I called to get it adjusted 1 day later and they said it was "too late" -- thanks for nothing, Costco! Costco service is really not all it's cracked up to be, they are pretty bad tbh when the time comes for actual help on anything of significance.. Awful support, zero help, and no resolution. Thanks for allowing us to get ripped off +25% on our vacation compared to the other 2 groups who booked at the same exact hour as us. Fun start to the trip!

This was a terrible experience, they will book your trip not tell you what the itemize amount is and when it comes to refunds they will take 6 weeks plus. Our family booked a package and we rented a family van weeks in advanced with enterprise, they enterprise calls us the day before to tell us they have no vans. We rushed to another enterprise and got another van on our own with a cheaper rate and costco travel refunded us the cheaper amount we paid. Sketchy practices, buyers beware.

I recently utilized the Costco Travel program to book a 9-day Chrysler minivan rental through Alamo for my daughter's graduation move from Pittsburgh. There was an initial issue at the pickup counter in Cedar Rapids where I was mistakenly given a smaller Dodge Durango SUV under the impression it was equivalent in size. After realizing it wouldn't fit our cargo, I contacted Costco Travel for help. Costco travel group managers and also a representative named Lance were absolutely outstanding. He actively advocated on our behalf, contacted the Alamo manager at the Pittsburgh airport (Brock Bowser), and successfully coordinated a vehicle swap so we could get the minivan we originally paid for. The return process back at the Cedar Rapids airport on May 18th was equally professional, and the front desk agent ensured our final billing was adjusted correctly for the trouble. I am incredibly grateful for Costco travel program managers and Lance's proactive communication and the seamless teamwork between Costco and Alamo management. This is exactly why I remain a loyal Costco Executive member and will continue booking my travel through the Costco program.

They have changed my flight a month before the date of travel. I have paid everything on that date and do not reimburse me. Wordt experience ever. Not going to book through them again.

Our 2 week trip to Greece went without a hitch. We visited Athens and two islands. Our transfers were prompt and on time. Our in country contacts were prompt with reply’s. The good news is we did not need to contact them for anything vital. A testimony to how well things went. Our rates were unbeatable. Excellent hotel recommendations and options. Would recommend their travel service.

I had a very disappointing experience with Avis at IAH Airport despite booking through Costco Travel. I reserved an Intermediate SUV through Costco Travel, but when I arrived at the Avis counter around 3 AM during heavy rain, I was told there were no vehicles available in my reserved category. The only options provided were a 12-seat passenger van or a Mercedes GLE 450 with an additional charge of approximately $60 per day. At that time, I had no practical choice but to take the Mercedes due to the weather and lack of available vehicles. The Avis representative clearly stated that they could not guarantee Costco reservations because of inventory shortages. The next day, I contacted Avis Customer Service and explained the situation. A representative created case number 81584097 and advised me to keep the vehicle since there was still no available inventory. I was also informed that the additional charges would be refunded because the upgrade was not voluntary. However, after returning the vehicle, Avis refused to refund the extra $230 that was charged for the premium vehicle. This experience was extremely frustrating. Customers should not be forced into paid upgrades due to inventory management issues, especially when the reservation was confirmed in advance through Costco Travel. I hope Avis reviews this case fairly and honors the commitment made by customer service.

I will NEVER use Costco Travel again. HORRIBLE to deal with. And if you book a trip with Costco and cancel your trip for what ever reason ...WATCH OUT, if any part of your cancelled trip goes to a "credit" ..they will apply an ABUNDANT of additional service fees and charges when you decide to use that credit. They were a NIGHTMARE to deal with. I will never use them again, and I actually hope that anyone who works for Costco Travel ROTS where the devil lays.
