I booked an all-inclusive trip with Costco because I assumed Costco was different and could be trusted to do things right. On the trip I'm presently on, they've screwed everything up. First off, they never shared our contact information with the airline. So, the airline not only canceled our flight but changed the day and airport. My family showed up at the wrong airport on the wrong day. Costco blamed the airline. America Airlines told us they had no contact information for us to share the changes. We accommodated the change, but Costco dragged their feet about adding a day to the stay. As we waited to fly back out, we had no idea if the resort would accommodate the change and add a day. Meanwhile, Costco wouldn't alter the return flight until they confirmed the added day. That makes sense, but when I asked after 12 hours how they reached out to the resort, they said they sent and email. They then shared that the resort usually responds in 24 hours. They invited me to call the resort if I wanted to. Each call to Costco, by the way, took at least 30 minutes, and one took nearly two hours. Eventually the flight was changed and the stay was extended. They also told me they changed all the transportation information. After the call, they sent no itinerary. Right now, I am at the resort on a roaming call (now for 31 minutes) waiting for someone to tell me when our ride to the airport should arrive tomorrow. They needed to change it because they actually failed to change it when they said they had. The first person I spoke with said this call would take no longer than 12 minutes. We are over 30 and waiting -- at 2:00 on a sunny day on my vacation. Thanks, Costco! By the way, they offered me nothing for the $120 I paid for my original ride to the airport. *At the end of that call, the agent said he's send me an email confirming the booking of my transport to the airport. He never sent it. He also said the concierge would know in two hours when the pickup time would be. They have no clue what I'm talking about. I'm now on a new call -- at dinner time -- going on 20 minutes. This is criminal incompetence.

Citi Bank is the Costco credit card. I had a fraudulent charge on my credit card from a hotel in Taiwan for 4 nights for $4000. I disputed this charge. However, Citi Bank (Costco) refused to honor my dispute and is holding me accountable for the full amount. Citi Bank (Costco) said that I gave my credit card information to the hotel, so that it is my fault. Why is Citi Bank blaming me, when it was the hotel that produced the fraudulent charge? I would not trust Citi Bank (Costco) to have your back when it comes to fradulent charges whether domestic or international. I have documentation for all of this.

Costco really needs to get out of the car rental business. Enterprise is ruining Costco's stellar customer service tradition. I've been Costco member since the mid 80's... I've made auto reservations with Costco twice. The 1st time I thought it was a fluke but it's happened again. Enterprise never has the selected vehicle. This time they didn't have any vehicles on a two week advance reservation. The mgr even called to confirm 2 days prior to my scheduled pick up time. I missed my family event, money was debited from card and will take days to refund. And to top it all off, the CS rep and the escalation dept behaved as if I should just happy they refunded my money. Enterprise sucks! Costco needs to detach themselves from a sinking ship!

As a 20+ year Executive Member let's just say that I really like Costco. Costco Travel is a zero. Terrible. Really screwed up a family vacation big time. After multiple hours long phone calls over several weeks with customer service regarding overbilling and under-delivering, I was asked by the Travel Team corporate group to write up all the history and send it to them for a billing correction (only to the price we were originally quoted in writing). So we did, I sent it to the correct and specific people in senior management, and despite follow ups for two months now, no response. Nothing. Don't waste your time or ever use Costco Travel - there is a reason they are chock full of 1-star ratings: they wreck peoples vacations. Certainly they ruined our dream trip. Live and learn.

We booked a cruise through Costco Travel, and this was my first and last experience using their services. Looking back, I wish I had realized how important it would be to document everything. If you use Costco Travel, be sure to record your calls when you book. If something goes wrong, having a recording can make a difference in whether they take action to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, it can feel like your situation doesn’t matter unless you can provide proof.

I am a loyal Costco Executive Member, but after my recent experience with Costco Travel, I will never use or recommend their travel services again. They completely failed to take care of us and left my family stranded in an absolute dump. We booked a European vacation package through Costco. While our first stop was great, our three-night stay at the Meliá Sevilla in Spain was a total health and safety nightmare. The second we walked into our suite, Room 531/532, we were hit with an overwhelming, toxic smell of industrial bleach. The hotel front desk admitted they were fully booked and couldn't move us, and their only solution was to tell us to open a window. It was completely obvious they were flooding the room with bleach to mask a systemic moisture and black mold problem. The room was incredibly run-down and flat-out unsafe for my two young daughters, who are nine and twelve. There was visible black mold caked along the bathroom and shower seals. On top of that, the shower caulking had completely failed. Every single time the shower was used, water poured out and pooled heavily across the tile floor, creating a massive slip hazard. To make matters worse, one of the two toilets in our suite was completely broken the entire time. Outside in the hallway, the carpet was so badly buckled and rippled it was a major tripping hazard, and the room itself had gouged-out walls and broken woodwork. The worst part of this experience wasn’t just the hazardous room, it was Costco Travel’s disgraceful customer service. I called them twice from Spain begging for help to relocate my kids. The first agent I spoke with actually blamed me for the situation, telling me it was my fault for choosing the cheapest hotel option in the package. The second agent told me the only way they would move us to a safe hotel was if I paid an extra $1,000 per night out of my own pocket. When we got home, I sent full video and photographic proof of these hazards to an In-Travel supervisor named Ian. Costco completely ignored the evidence and went radio silent for over a week. I eventually had to file a credit card dispute just to get their attention, which the bank's automated system ultimately rejected simply because we physically slept in the room. The bank completely ignored the fact that Costco's own agents gave us no viable alternative in a foreign city. Only after the bank dispute wrapped up did a Costco escalations specialist finally reach out to me. Costco talks a big game about vetting their partners and taking care of members, but when a real health and safety crisis happened, they abandoned us, kept our money, and hid behind a bank technicality.

I booked with Costco travel round trip to Cancun May 5-9-2026. No one was at the airport in Cancun to take us to our hotel. Two (2) taxi drivers assisted in helping look for our shuttle. There was no one. Paying for a taxi to the hotel was not refunded by Costco Travel as I was told by the Costco agent at the hotel. I will not speak highly of Costco Travel, nor use them again.

I was having a problem booking a trip because my credit limit was below the cost of the cruise. Jeff North hung in there with me until the bank approved my new credit limit. He was professional and a five star representative for Costco Travel.
