My wife set up an IRA with separate provider who purchased precious metals on her behalf. Over $180,000 dollars was sent to checks to Colonial Metals in May 2025 - it is September and she received an email from a Law Firm "handling communications" for CMG. Big surprise - no one from CMG OR Hitzke & Ferran are answer their phone. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM edit - over a week and two "customer support" calls. No answers - no resolution. Seeking a return of cash as it was/is to be retirement account

I invested with Colonial Metals May 2025 and shortly after received a letter from Equity Trust letting me know that they are no longer doing business with Colonial Metals. It is now September 2025 and my metals have not been received to the depository. I am currently interviewing lawyers in the anticipation of seeking legal recourse.

We would not recommend using Colonial Metals Group, since July 2025, we have been waiting for our Precious Coins and bars to be deposited into Delaware Depository. Colonial Metals does not return phone calls.

Unfortunately, I too believed the CMG sales staff and on 28 FEB 2025 transferred my retirement invested IRA to CMG for the funding of a GOLD IRA. Promises were continually made regarding the slow movement to fund the IRA. Several sales people have left in order to preserve their professional integrity. Those I speak with today- it’s now mid-September 2025 - are courteous and provide the same empty promises. I have contacted CMG CEO and am waiting, waiting, waiting to hear from him…maybe today??? I have requested a refund of my investment since it’s clear CMG is unable to fulfill their contract with me. Yes, it would be a pleasure to revise this review upon the funding of my GOLD IRA!!!
