Installer Jim was very prompt and capable in getting the installation done in what seems like a record amount of time for the 7 locations needing shelving, styled book cases, etc and the two of them were very professional in dealing with us, the home owners

Lets start from the beginning, when I first contacted closets by design they were really quick to book me an appointment and my best convenience. Madison was my closet designer. She came out and was very professional and kind and must I say patient. I’ll explain why jn a bit. She came out and walked the rooms I was interested in getting work done. First the living wanted to make it where my 85in tv hanged on the wall and I had cabinets and such all around the tv. Second I wanted to make one of my spare rooms into a walk in closet. Madison was always listening what my vision was at the same time taking measurements. After we talked what I was wanting got she got to designing. This i where she was so patient with me. My parents called me over to their house with my fiancé to help them out with something. They live 10min away so I told Madison if she minded staying while she designed and I went to pick up my fiancé and go help my parents. I thought I’d be gone 20-30min at most. I ended up taking over an hour a bit more. And Madison was kind and sent me a text saying she was done designing and was waiting for me to show me here design she made up for our rooms. She never did get upset “Hey! You said 20-30min! Or hey! Im leaving etc. Instead she waited for me to return. So I returned with my fiancé and parents apologies for taking longer than expected and she was nice and patient and she continued to explain insurance what she had designed my space. Remember everything is customize to fit exactly with the space you have. We loved what she had designed, and we made a good deal to do the walk-in closet and the living room tv shelving. About a month later, the guys came to install and built the closet and living room TV shelving. They were very quick and professional and kind respectful with the other things around them. Once built my fiancé, and I were amazed how great they look, and I have been getting a lot of compliments from family and friends. If you want some thing, personalized and done right then go with closets by design. Later on, I will be getting something custom in my garage and basement.

Rayanna asked great questions related to function in the design process. She heard me and gave me a design that perfectly fit my needs. Alyssa and Carlos were fantastic during the installation process. They too asked questions and were skilled and responsive. The end product is beautiful and so functional. I truly love how my mud room turned out. I’m definitely using this team again for my closets.

This is for the Phoenix location. They come out and measure. I expected them to drive away, work up a few computer designs and schedule a return visit to pitch us. Nope. Everything happens on that first visit. They get real quiet while they’re designing. Then they tell you about the (3) different tiers of material. It ain’t inexpensive. But there’s a reason they stay in business. They added a ton of hanger area and shelves. We had them finish the top of the new closet for long term storage above. They give a great discount if you sign during the first trip so be prepared. Then we waited maybe two weeks (not long) before they scheduled the install. Sean G was our installer, and he’s the real deal. Showed up with a van and all the saws you could want. Only took him a few hours. The quality was excellent. The change is night and day. And using bright white material brightens the closet. We’re very pleased and appreciate the fact it took no more than 3-weeks from first meeting to install.

Hope there was an option to give zero stars. Worst customer service. Basically, it is a fraud company. They are not all professionals when it comes to payment In case you have to hire them, never ever use your credit card for payment. They will charge you without your knowledge. They owe a $770 refund and trying to follow up with them for the last 6 months. No response so far. You can find similar reviews on facebook, google from many customers. I used Houston Tx based franchise. Initially, I thought it was an issue with this one franchise. Doesn't look like that. There are customers who had similar or worst issues in other states as well.

My Installer was Morey L who was efficient, amicable and skilled! His work is flawless. I enjoyed his respectful manner which resulted in an easy interaction resulting in a great product. Thanks. I also appreciate the well done work of Mason White who drew the plans for this project and was great in helping me in the planning stage which resulted in a well done project.

I purchased a house in New Braunfels TX at which the previous owner had recently installed master closet wall units by Closets by Design. The closets wall units had drawers at the bottom and shelves at the top, and met my needs, but I wanted to relocate the wall unit to another room. I hired a contractor to move the wall unit. He removed the 6 drawer boxes, and tried to move the remaining structure without supporting it, and the whole structure collapsed and was destroyed. All I had left were the 6 drawer boxes. I called Closets by Design and they found the original design specification for the units that they had installed at my house. I told them that I would like to hire them to re-install an identical wall system (same size, same color, same layout, same style), but that I would like to re-use the drawer boxes that I had, since they had been undamaged. They absolutely refused, saying I would have to buy all new drawer boxes. I argued that the drawers were THEIR product, were in new condition, and since I wanted an identical design, should fit without a problem. I spoke to both the Sales Manager and the Operational Manager, They were completely unwilling to accommodate my very reasonable request, instead trying to gouge me to re-buy unneeded drawers. Absolutely uncooperative, uncompromising and obstinate customer service.

Be careful about this company. They sent out the sweetest consultant to win our hearts. As sweet as she was I feel she didn’t custom design our closet to fit our things and needs. Her main focus was to design a space for my shoes. Well at the time I had other things that had a space in my closet but when she finished and the closet was done the other things had had no where to go. The main thing was I had a compartment container that was on the floor but now because of the shelving it won’t even fit on the shelf. It hangs out and about to tilt over. So that means the shelf was not wide enough for my compartment container to sit back far enough to fit. Plus there is a bar above it which prevents it fitting inside as well. The cost is way too much for the work they do. I did read the fine print and asked questions about the things I was unsure of . However the consultant gave me an answer I don’t think was what it meant. Be careful and cautious of that. I did know that I was going to have to paint the walls myself but after the finished product the price wasn’t worth it. All that money and you’re not going to paint. Also if you decide to change the board color that’s an extra charge. Why? Especially since the boards haven’t been cut nor painted yet. Also they schedule you three to four months out before they get to the job. That was a red flag there but I had some other stuff going on in my life I thought maybe that’s a good thing for the extended wait time. Not.. CBD does that so you can’t change your mind in a certain time frame and the time frame is short. I did find some discrepancies and called CBD about them and guess what… we’ll at the bottom in the print it says such an such is what I was told. Of course that wasn’t how it was explained to me. Don’t do it, search other places before committing to them. Don’t let them get you with the , if you don’t agree today the promotion or discount can no longer be applied. Walk away fast and try California Closet , Lowe’s, maybe even Home Depot . In my eyes CBD are scammers.Totally not worth the money, unless you got big bucks. How can this company improve? Paint #1), for your high price they charge that should be included. (2)we should be able to change the board color without a charge, in a decent time frame of course.(3)We get enough hoot wing with car dealerships, a closet design shouldn’t have that dog eat dog mentality. Companies like this isn’t a necessity. Pass this one up.
