Bait/switch: Removed longstanding features from the free tier
I loved Clockify until recently. I even explored upgrading to a paid plan for my small but growing business. Unfortunately, I found that the invoicing feature was very cookie-cutter, not customizable enough even for my small business. While friendly, the demo providers were only able to give a canned demo, not really speak to how I could use their product for my business needs. As a result, I opted to stay on the free plan. Today, I find that the company has removed features from the free plan and moved them into the paid tier--even the feature of calculating how much I earned last week according to how much each client pays. Now I feel like the time-tracking software is really just an ad for features that I can't use anymore, because I'm on the free plan. It feels like a bait and switch. I used to recommend Clockify wholeheartedly to colleagues. Now I will be exploring alternative software companies for a paid plan, because if I am going to pay, I want customizable invoicing and other functions, and I don't appreciate having features previously available to me taken away. I am, frankly, sick of companies jacking consumers and business owners around with their subscription pricing, and I am not the only one.

Hi Kate, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate you using Clockify for the past few years, and we understand how frustrating it can feel when changes affect features you’ve been relying on. To continue keeping Clockify reliable, fast, and sustainable for the long term while still offering unlimited time tracking, we recently updated our Free plan and adjusted feature availability across our plans. We would also love to hear about the Invoicing feature and any specific ideas that you might have for it so we can rely that info to the Product Team. Feel free to reach out to our Support Team at [email protected] to share your feedback. Cheers,
