I am writing this review for my mum,just received our invisicrepe body balm today 14th sept but mum wasn't happy in paying a £42.81 for customs charge when you normally get charged for shipping at the end of the transaction can somebody please get in contact to explain why this happened and why at the end you make a deal at the end for another one or two of the balms which is not explained correctly would appreciate a better understanding for other people when ordering.Mum and myself are looking forward to trying this product look forward to hearing from you.Paula and mum.

The lip plumper is excellent and the customer service is excellent

About a month ago I purchased what I thought to be 2 tubes of lip gloss, and thought I was getting 3 for 2. At the checkout it ended up costing a small fortune. I tried to cancel but it would not let me. When they arrived I was full of expectation, and when I tried it I could not have been any more disappointed, however I thought I would give it the benefit of doubt and persevere. After a week of using the first tube I realised that I had been totally ripped off and that it was a total scam! I tried to Email City Beauty with NO reply, I tried to call them, only to be told that the phone number wasn’t recognised, and every avenue I tried to contact them was denied!! I feel I must warn Ladies to stay well away from this so called lip plumping miracle lip gloss that actually is no better than a cheap rival gloss…! I’m sorry but your Customer Service is non existent, your product is awful and I am just so bitterly sorry that I wasted a considerable amount of my hard earned money on something that quite frankly is pure RUBBISH…!!!!😡

I placed an order last week for 2 tubes. At the check out screen I was offered 3 tubes and assumed that this was INSTEAD of the 2 tubes. I now find that I have in fact ordered 5 tubes. I feel that the checkout is designed to confuse the buyer. I am in Australia and with the exchange these 2 purchases have now cost me $300!!! I have not received anything yet which is fine but it had better work for that price

I was really looking forward to trying their Illuminating Dark Spot Corrector but had issue with the following: 1. Their website is designed in a way that makes it rather easy for inadvertent added purchases. 2. Even thought I tried canceling the order by emailing within 30 minutes of purchase plus a phone call the next day with a representative who let me know that the extra orders were cancelled, that didn’t happened. 3. When I got the shipment, the shipping label listed a Qty of 16 items but only 8 items were shipped and there was not indication that it was a partial shipment. Even though I would have wanted to give their product a try, I’m going to cancel/return everything considering the rather unusual, negative shopping experience. After posting my above review, I noticed there are other reviews posted about issues with the company’s misleading, if not fraudulent, checkout process for producing additional multiple orders that folks either did not place or were deceived to place. Additionally, there are other reviews posted about the company’s questionable handling of order cancellation requests. I will not be buying anything from this company.

Not a good skincare line at all!!! I was 27 (I'm 29 now) when I used this skincare, and have tried most of the products in City Beauty's range. I stopped using a year later when I was 28, because there was no improvement and it made my skin worse. The cleanser was VERY drying, none of the moisturizers really gave the hydration that my skin needed, and I noticed no difference using the eye creams (my dark circles and bags were still quite prominent) or serums either (I still had enlarged pores, dull and slack skin, as well as an uneven skin tone). However, what did happen was my adult acne got worse and my skin became the driest and most dull I have ever known it to be... Now notice, I was only 27 - meaning I was still quite young, however, experiencing fine lines and sagging skin. The point that I wish to make though is that if this did not work for me at the age of 27 where I had/have only fine lines and some loose skin, then sorry ladies, if you are older and/or have quite mature skin, then don't even bother wasting your time on these products!! I believe a good portion of the expensive pricing goes on the attractive packaging and advertising, but when you get to the actual products and ingredients themselves, they are worthless, and just make your skin worse. Also, for anybody who doesn't know, when you come across skincare that has a heavy or perfumed scent (which the City Beauty products do), it usually means it is not good for your skin - there really should be little to no scent at all... Now this is an honest review with a most sincere opinion, I promise! I have put it here to stop other women from buying something that one, is not good for your skin and does not work, and two, is really quite expensive and way too overpriced, considering the false marketing and useless value you get from the products themselves. I only gave the products the 1 star above because I had to in order to place a review, but if the option was there to give these products no stars at all, then that's what I would have done. Hope this helps someone.

I have no complaints as many of the women who gave their reviews here did. I took fell for the add on/discount and was charged for it. I simply called and explained. City Beauty immediately cancelled the extra and refunded the money back to my acct. within minutes. Now for the review of the Lip plumping gloss: At first it felt tacky and thick to me but, as I used it again that disappeared. It is rich, emollient and shiny so it works as a gloss with or without lip stick after. My lips might not be fuller yet, as it has only been a few weeks but they are far healthier and youthful looking. I am 60 and a Blues guitarist-songwriter-singer and perform for crowds so aesthetics are important to me. I will continue to use. FYI the gloss stays on after application for hours it doesn't fade away no need to reapply often. I apply 2x daily once before I go out and once before bed. Yes, I would order again.

Ordered 1 lipstick, software suggested I order 2 as received a good discount, then again another offer for 3 lipsticks for $100USD. So I did. 24 hours later noticed $460 NZD taken from my bank account. Temporarily blocked my bank card, alerted my bank of this fraud, and e mailed City Beauty asking why they had taken so much money from my account and also to CANCEL my order. Didn’t sleep too well that night. The next morning I had received an apologetic e mail from City Beauty saying they were cancelling my order, refunding me the total amount as I was a new customer and therefore unfamiliar with their website. The money was back in my account a few hours later. So, whilst I was victim to a very confusing website, City Beauty did respond accordingly. I will not, however, be using it again. Advice, if you do order products from this company - be aware of “add ons” / offers when ordering. You may end up with more products that’s you ordered and spending a lot more of your hard earned money than you planned.
