I wish I could give them 0 stars. I currently have terminal cancer. Unfortunately my cancer spread to my bones and I was in need of new chemotherapy, it took them months to approve. By the time it was approved, my cancer has progress massively to where the pain is unbearable. I have to sleep sitting down to get any shut eye. I can barely move my arm so my doctor sent me for radiation because of the severity of the pain and cancer in my bones. I have been waiting weeks and cigna will not approve my radiation. I've gone months without treatment, everyday getting closer to death and they do nothing to approve my treatment. What I'm getting from this is that since I've already met my deductible and coinsurance they're just pretty much waiting for me to die at this point in order for them not to have to pay for anything. These people are literally killing me.

i had an accident six months ago still not completed faxed in information twice called several times and still nothing absolutely the worse insurance ever i do not recommend at all as you can see there responses are a joke at best

my son to the nearest emergency room. Days earlier he had been to a Cigna approved urgent care. Had they treated him correctly we would not have been in the ER at 1:30 am with an allergic reaction causing huge hives and pain to his neck, shoulders, and hands. Apparently I should have gone to the further ER that was in network and took a chance on his airway being compromised and told him to just suffer with the pain. He was given several IV medications, monitored and sent home. Long story short they will not pay the doctor as they say he is out of network so Im sure they will not cover the visit. Cigna makes me ill. I don't know how these people sleep at night. 03/13/2024 I have sent an email twice with no response. Now I would give zero stars if it was an option.

I have dental claims to send and they only accept them...by fax from a personal fax number. Or sent by post to Tennessee. I'm in Austria, and that's how I have to submit claims?? Anyway, if approved, I would then have to receive a check at my old American address, or sent to the HQ of my former employer (that employs 100,000 people). No possibility of changing the address or of sending a bank transfer. Disgusting company.

I’m like everyone else, if I could they would get a 0. Worst service I’ve had in 64 years. I had an emergency and had to go to a local hospital. 3rd largest trauma center in the state of NC. I got the bill. They would pay for the doctor (partially) but not the facility he worked at. So I’m looking at $4000 worth of bills for 36 hour stay. It gets better. I need surgery. They will pay part of the doctor, again he’s in network, but the hospital and OR is not in network. I guess they think he could come to my home and do major spinal surgery. We had BC/BS up till last year. I would have at least gave the 3.5 stars. I may have to just deal with the pain and being less mobile till next year when I go on Medicare. If you have a choice, don’t do Cigna. If it’s cheaper, there’s a reason. THEY SUCK!!!!

I will NEVER choose insurance through Cigna again! All of my healthcare policies are handled through VIA Benefits. This is the company chosen by Chevron USA for its retirees and it's perfect. Annually, toward the end of each year, I choose insurers on the VIA website for a Medicare supplement, dental coverage, a prescription plan and eye health coverage for the upcoming year. I've NEVER had to cancel a policy that I wasn't renewing using their system. If they weren't chosen my premiums stopped. BUT Cigna charged me $33 each for Jan & Feb 2024. When I called for a refund, I was told that it was my responsibility to cancel the policy and that I WASN'T DUE A REFUND. In addition, in order to speak an RLP, you have to break thru the wall created by their AI idiot. And when you actually do reach someone, they have heavy accents making them difficult to understand.

If I could I would give this very dysfunctional heath plan 0 stars!!! The representative “Celida” hung up on me!! I would never give my business to them!!!, OR refer them to anyone!! American healthcare is so so dysfunctional!! I choose NOT to profit any American healthcare company!!

I would give them no stars if I could. I have been with Cigna for 8 years, but their customer service is the worst. They never answer emails, they force you to phone them repeatedly to request pre-authorisation (and never phone you back or have any record of previous calls), they don't even acknowledge my multiple requests to cancel my policy, sent a month in advance of policy end. I even ended up not getting pre-authorisation from Cigna for payment for my medically necessary C-section until I was literally being wheeled into the operating theatre to have a baby, despite requesting it a month before and following up multiple times, because their customer service is so bad. Avoid Cigna at all costs to keep your sanity.
