I can not express how much Certapet helped me. I truly needed an emotional support letter to travel. My t-cup yorkie had died in September, and I didn’t leave my house. I took her everywhere with me. Since getting my new dog, the change in me has been nothing short of extraordinary! I am now an active member of society again. It is a very thourough process to go through with a licensed doctor that see s you through the whole process. I can’t say enough about certapet. If I could give it 1,000 stars I would. So timely!! Everything went very smoothly and the letter we needed for housing was successful and sufficient for our landlord. Our property manager called the physician after seeing the letter and everything checked out. I would definitely recommend this to anyone in a pinch because the whole process is so efficient! She came to rescue my life from a major depression I was going through a retirement. I became disable, and my life was miserable. God sent Pola to my life, and she was extremenly helpful to take me out of those depressions prescriptions that I used for longtime. Thanks to all personnel at Certapet. They won't tell you up front that you have to have the animal with you for x amount of months before they'll write a letter for you. They will refund your money less than $35 consultation fee. What a rip off!

I have used Certapet for the last three years. They are very professional and extremely responsive. They offer excellent options for self help as well and are always willing to assist at any time.

I have been diagnosed with anxiety/PTSD and recently moved to a new area and no longer live in a private home. The new apartment allows dogs and approved my dog, but I still wanted to be sure that everybody knows he is there to provide assistance to me. I pay my pet renters fee and paid a pet deposit, and went through all of the necessary steps to have my dog approved.. so for those who believe that this is only for people who want to save money or find a way around the rules - you are wrong. These animals provide a very necessary service to many people. I filled out an in depth questionnaire and then spent a good deal of time on the phone with my therapist who laid out a detailed treatment plan for me and even helped me to find a therapist in my new town. The questions were in depth and I have no doubt that if no need was determined, I would have been refused. For those with a need for an emotional support animal, this is an amazing service. This may not be as simple as the sites that provide you with a bogus registration or ID card that is meaningless - but that is because you are "meeting" with an actual mental health professional who takes their time to assess you. The process took only a few days and cost much less than my prior therapist would have charged to provide the same letter.

I'll admit that I was skeptical about the whole process, but was reassured after reading most of the reviews here. The whole CertaPet experience was painless for me from start to finish. I filled out the assessment online, received an email confirming that I was a candidate, and had a call scheduled with a licensed professional in my state the very next day. After we spoke on the phone (a 10 min convo with an extremely pleasant and understanding doctor) I was approved and the letters were ready to be downloaded almost instantly. She graciously answered my numerous questions and willingly offered to advocate for me in case I received any pushback from the new apartment building that I was moving in to. From someone who suffers from serious anxiety, this eased my mind tremendously and I'm so relieved to know that I can now travel with my best buddy. A few things worth noting: if approved, the letter is only valid for ONE YEAR. After a year, you may need to complete another assessment and/or check in with the doctor. If you need an additional ESA letter for another pet, it's another $100. The process is truly seamless so to me it was worth every penny.
