I answered all the questions and purchased an ESA letter. They were prompt and a therapist contacted me and I set up an appointment, but something came up and I didn't have enough money for my rent, so I had to ask for a refund and I planned to try to get my letter next month. I've gone through the same process and it wasn't until a few business days after, I asked about five times when I'd be assigned a therapist that they answered me and then finally assigned one to me. I was told they'd contact me within 48 hours but they never did and now it's the weekend and I'm left to wonder how long it will be before they'll get back with me.

Don’t call them. First they charge you, then they tell you it will be $50 MORE to have them fill out the Jet Blue forms, then they have you talk to their mental health person and you tell them how your cat helps you de stress from schoolwork, then they DENY the request BUT THEY SAY THEY WILL ONLY REFUBD OART IF UOUR MONEY! SCAM!!! Do NOT call them!!!!!

The whole team is amazing! They will help you with everything you need. You really feel they care about you and your furry friend.

I was exceptionally pleasantly surprised with CertaPet. After checking out similar organizations I contacted customer support over the phone. The agent I got, Fabiola, was nothing short of FABULOUS. I was in a pickle where I needed the ESA certification in a short period of time so I could fly with my dog outside his carrier. Fabiola answered all my questions and stayed on the phone with me while I competed my prescreen assessment and completed my payment so she could get in touch with a therapist, explain my situation, and confirm that someone would be able to contact me later that same evening. By Friday night, the same day I called, I received my ESA letter for travel. I would recommend this service to anyone looking to certify their pet as an emotional support animal. Please be clear, though the process was smooth and easy, it is very legit and they required a lot of information about my mental and physical health history. They were thorough and efficient. I trust this organization and am grateful for the service I received.

I first tried using Certapet because in their "Pre-Examination" they ask "What kind of animal do you have?" with the three choices cat, dog, and other. When I saw other I thought, "nice! I can certify my ferret with no issues!" This is not the case. CERTAPET DOES NOT OFFER ESA LETTERS FOR ANY ANIMALS OTHER THAN CATS, DOGS AND RABBITS! The website has NOTHING about these limits and expects you to pay $150 just to find out! As soon as I brought up a refund to customer service they stopped replying and just sent the refund. I got my money back, thankfully! But I felt baited by their question and felt like my time was wasted. I hope that if anyone else is wondering if Certapet will verify their out of norm pet, the answer is NO unless it is a rabbit.

Wife needed ESA letter and asked for my help getting it. I was very confused by all the differences in ESA letters or On-line registration, etc. After A LOT of reading I realized that what we really needed was an ESA Letter from a registered therapist dated/on letterhead. After even more reading (reviews, etc.) selected CertaPet and in the end I was very glad we did. Initial questionnaire was easy. Website was easy to use. Received useful follow-up e-mails and setting up the Phone Interview with a real-live therapist was pretty easy (took a few days over the holidays). Immediately after the interview received electronic version of ESA letter and within a few days received a hard-copy of letter via express mail. Submitted the letter (and all the other airline documents) and received pre-approval from my airline (Delta). Not saying CertaPet is the least expensive - but, overall was pretty worry-free (just took some time - not something you can get done in a day or two...you really need to plan ahead). No this is NOT a free service (they never say it is)...but, it does allow you to fly with your ESA for free (no airline charge). P.S.-this is my first-ever Trustpilot review - but, having experienced how confusing this ESA letter process can be - I wanted to share my experience.
