I have 2 American pitbulls. After my divorce, I had to find housing and it was the hardest thing. It made me fall more into depression to think we would be homeless. I was skeptic at first but it was my last hope. I filled all the info and after extensive questioning I was granted a ESA for my dogs. It was my lifesaver. I will forever be grateful. Certapet had me fill out the pre-screening questions. My result was that I was a good candidate for an ESA. So I paid my money and then filled out a highly invasive questionnaire. Once that was done, it went "for review" by one of their "medical professionals." That medical professional (a licensed social worker) then e-mailed me even more questions, some identical to those in the allegedly reviewed questionnaire. I answered the questions. Then I was told I would need to have a therapist as part of my "team" in order to get an ESA. Once I agreed to do that, I was then informed I would also need my primary care provider on board, as part of this team. What is the Certapet $150 fee for if I still need a therapist and general practitioner? Between those two medical professionals, I should be able to get an ESA certification. What exactly would I need Certapet for then? It felt very disingenuous. I was refunded most of my money. I feel like I spent $25 to be jerked around.

What a great company! Their staff is very professional and accessible, and I received my ESA certification letter within a couple of days! For only about 20 extra, one of the therapists also filled out a reasonable accommodation form that my apartment complex required. I would recommend Certapet to anyone who needs an ESA certification ASAP. They're amazing!
