I booked a "no extra charges" package with Easyjet and when I arrived at Catania airport I was told that either I must pay €22 euros now, or clean the car before returning it. Easyjet refused to refund this. I was given a car in a lower category than I had booked, which crucially didnt have aircon in Sicily and eventually easyjet gave me a £1.58 refund per day which was nowhere near the difference in price between the two classes. I fly a lot with Easyjet and like them, but their car hire is shameful and clearly I will never buy a single add-on from Easyjet again -they are their own worst enemy in a very competitive market.

I booked my rental car with Easyjet Car Rental for the 24th of May at Schiphol Airport. When I arrived at the desk, they refused my credit card that I have been using for years to rent my cars all over the world. I will never use Easyjet Car rental in my life. You should not do that either, they are scam artists. Marcel Palm

My easyJet flight was delayed so I was nearly 2 hours late to pick up the car I had prepaid for in full. They had sold the car to someone else & said I was not due a refund. Apparently if you don’t include your flight number on the booking form which is not a requirement they can do this. I had an elderly parent with me. The flight delay was bad enough but to then be left without transport was totally unacceptable. Giving away a pre booked & paid for car is not reasonable & is a healthy & safety concern. I am still incredulous.

I wish I had read these reviews first. -Price paid to easyjet was more than walk in rate -on arrival Delpasso Malaga would not accept any of my credit cards to proceed with the Easyjet booking as they had my Initials not forenames spent out in full. This is despite having passport and driving licence to prove who I was. We spoke to Easyjet who said nothing they could do and would not refund the initial money paid. - We should have walked out and gone to different company but given time spent then just paid Delpasso again to proceed - for which they were happy to accept any credit card of course - This is a scan to rip people off using a non-sensical condition of the booking. We have effectively paid twice. - Easyjet brand is damaged by being part of this scam; I wont book holiday extras through them again

I definitely recommend not to use easyjet rental car. It is really a scam. If you don't have a credit card you have to pay more fees and impossible to cancel the car rental. Cheap price, cheap service ! Avoid it if you want to enjoy your holidays.

Me cobraron 200€ más solo por incluir un conductor adicional, cuando en el contrato ponía 56€ pero en la letra pequeña ponía que ese precio estaba sujeto a condiciones

Do not use this company! Bought car hire through them. We had an accident of no fault of our own, and cannot get through to anyone to raise a claim, and there is no claims form or phone number of their website. They keep diverting the claim through to Hertz car who we picked up the car from, but this is not who our insurance is held with.

This is a genuine warning for car renters to be aware of when using Easyjet car hire. They have a non a transparent clause in their car hire which, as is normal, says named driver has to present their credit card at the car rental desk. However, what they don't make transparent, is the credit card has to have the drivers first name on it so they wouldn't accept my partners card eg Mr J P Smith and the booking was made in name if Mr James Smith. Delpaso refused to let us have the car. We were stuck and had to hire a different car using my card which had a first name on. The car cost 4 x more to hire than the original booking. I complained to Easyjet sending them a photocopy of my booking which simply said present credit card of main driver. They took 7 weeks to respond despite being contacted by me 3 more times. They eventually sent me a copy of a car hire agreement I did not receive which when you clicked on a particular part, did say credit card should have first name on it. I DID NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THIS DOCUMENT WHEN I HIRED THE CAR. I have hired cars for many years and never had this problem. I have spoken to many friends who have credit cards with just their initials on it and have hired cars. So beware. Easyjet whose middle man is Car Trawler have taken no responsibility for this and I feel duped and conned. Their customer service is shocking. Be warned, make sure when you hire a car, your credit card has first name on it and avoid both Easyjet and Cartrawler.
