It’s a scam! I wish I had read these reviews before booking! I booked a car, cancelled it 10 minutes later after seeing all the hidden costs and now I can’t get my refund! It’s been over 2 weeks and they just keep saying it is being processed! Inconsistent policies and dreadful customer service. AVOID!

SCAM ALERT
IT IS A SCAM - as you can see from other reviews, I am not the only one to be scammed. I only wish I had read all these awful reviews first!
It looks easy enough online when you book but do not book through Easy Jet care hire as there are hidden costs at the desk that they do not make you aware about!
Poor lack of communication, terrible customer service experience and they did not resolve my case. Will not be booking via Easy Jet again ever.

Booked through easyjet car hire
Booked through easyjet car hire, company is called Drivalia - NEVER USE!
We booked a 5 person, 3 suitcase car, we just about squeezed three small children into the back and one suitcase in the boot, apparently because there were 5 belts this counts as a 5 person car - you would never have been able to get adults in there! Had to fit a bag under the kids legs, not the best for their relaxation on journey.
Drivalia held £1500 on my card for the week we had the car, I've no issue with that, they are now claiming there is damage to the car (which there was not) and have taken another £235 as they had my card details.
Also when we first went to get the car their system was down and so we couldn't get a car till the next day, they have refused to refund the day we didn't have the car for as it was less than 24hours (time that we couldn't go anywhere other than a hotel near to the car hire depot and not on our holiday!) absolutely won't be using Drivalia ever again and won't be booking through easyjet either as they have been no help in trying to sort this out for us.

DO NOT USE..
DO NOT USE... Easyjet seem to partner with disreputable companies who can offer the lowest price and don't care about who they are putting you with. We used Easyjet car hire at Belfast international airport, who it turns out use some cowboys called Drivalia. The voucher says to present it at the desk. When we landed, the desk isn't even in the airport, it is 4 miles away in a dodgy looking portacabin. Rang the number, was told that they would send a car to pick us up but it would be half an hour, as they only had one driver. After 40 wasted minutes the car appeared and off we went, to an industrial estate in the back of beyond. Walked into an argument between the operative and another clearly distressed customer. Easyjet's Ts and Cs clearly say that you need a credit card which has enough limit to cover the £1500 excess. Every other car hire company blocks this off. Not Drivalia. They actually take the funds from your credit card. The operative was at great pains to point out that they take it, they don't block it off unlike other companies. I asked if it was refunded when we returned the car to be told no, in about 10 days.
When I refused to donate £1500 of my money to the portacabin's shifty occupant, I was told that I could pay an extra £42 for an excess waiver, or cancel the car. As I was now stuck in the middle of nowhere, I paid the £42 under sufference. They will not refund it, despite Drivalia's policy of taking the excess money in full being totally at odds with Easyjet's terms and conditions which state it will be blocked off. When I complained they pretended at first that they did block it off, but the manager has now confirmed in writing no, they do really take it.
Good job I paid the extra insurance. When I returned the car, another customer was in the process of being relieved of over £200 by a different operative. That customer had stupidly given them the £1500, surprise surprise they had now found "damage" to his car in the form of two "chips", neither of which was visible to the naked eye. They already had his money, so nothing he could do about it. The operative was laughing as he pointed these "chips" out. I'm guessing these scammers do nothing but argue with people all day, but they don't care, because they get your money.
Please use reputable hire companies such as Europcar, not these cowboys. Easyjet should be ashamed of partnering with them but they just want to offer the lowest price, I guess, even when that comes with the lowest service and lowest customer satisfaction.

Ripped off & left with no car
Easy jet.. I arrived at the airport
The p4 carpark in barley sign posted
Then I had to catch a but to the car hire place
Then they wouldn’t accept my card and I lost all of my money
It’s so frustrating
I can’t afford to just lose £300 and then have to Find another car hire company and pay again

I was 1hr 30mins late picking up the…
I was 1hr 30mins late picking up the car due to Easyjet flight being delayed. Europe car refused to give me the car and would not tell me why, turns out it was because I was late arriving at the desk. Now Easyjet are refusing to refund my money. It was a 2 week car hire so not only do I loose nearly €1000 but I also had to payout for taxis etc.
I am disgusted that this could be allowed to happen it is just blatant robbery and you can’t do a thing about it…
