Bought a safe from Academy that used both a key and a combo dial. 1st page in the manual has a big bold header - for replacement keys call 1-800- ... Now disconnected. Tried to call general customer service number - never got through. Emailed... Took at least a week to hear back - they don't send out replacement keys anymore. Seriously, I'd like to give them a (-) negative 1 for 'stars'. Worst customer support ever.

We bought a Safari safe and have had nothing but trouble from the keypad! We’ve had to change the battery after 5-10 openings when they should last for approximately 10,000 openings. Couldn’t get no help with the problem and now we are having to purchase a new lock & key pad. Not satisfied!

Tee electric pads on cannon safe are junk and never work right. Don't spend any money on them they are built cheep and do not work right ever one I know with them have problems opening them the safe is good as long as you get the mechanical dial old school work better In this case. Have both and will never waste time or money on electric safe again.

I'm sorry to read all the terrible reviews. I purchased my TS-7240 in January of 2011. It has been flawless, and I believe I've only replaced the battery once. Maybe I got mine before quality went down, or perhaps I just got a good one.

The worst customer service I ever experienced. I purchased a TS5730-h1-20 36 gun safe yesterday. The first time I tried to open the electronic lock, it would not open. I read the manual cover to cover to make sure I was doing everything correctly. I then spent 4 1/2 hours on hold trying to get help from customer service. Finally Roxanne took my call. I explained my problem and after asking the expiration date on the battery which was 08/24 she asked me what brand I used. I told her Eveready. Shen then told me that I would not get it to work unless I used a Duracell or a Energizer battery. She said that it was my choice to either replace as she instructed me to do, but she was putting a not on my case about the battery and no other customer servive rep would help me until I replace the battery. I then asked if a energizer or Duracell was required to open the safe I asked then why did they ship safe with a Chinese generic Pairdeer battery. I was told that it was used for testing the lock. Then if it worked when it was tested why would not work now. I then asked to speak with a manager and I was told they were conveniently at lunch. I asked if I purchased a battery and it still did not work what was I to do. She said I has to call a lock smith for service and they would send parts if needed. So I purchased a energizer battery and it still did not work. I decided to go to plan B. I called Tractor Supply and talked with the manager explaining my frustration with Customer service. I asked if she had heard of similar problems. She said they had recieved some wrong owners manuals. She said she was sending out her store driver with a correct manual. He was here 5 minutes and had it working

Still on hold almost 25 minutes. My father, prior to his passing, purchased a very large safe from Cannon. He passed, taking the combination to his grave. There are important documents we need for his estate/lawyer that are in there. We cannot open it and since it is new, we didn't want to ruin it by drilling into it. It appeared to be simple enough .. get death cert., notarize master request form and then call after scanning to you all. And thern, the phone numbers do NOT WORK. They are incorrect on the forms; the customer svc #: 800-242-1055 does not work. The numbers on the email does not work either. I am just requesting a reset combination/help for this safe. If I do not hear from CANNON very soon, I am taking this to the media.

Called cannon support sept 1, on hold for 30 minutes, they will send me new lock since mine doesn’t work n my shield series safe. Call back 6 weeks later, hold another 25 minutes, part back ordered will send next week. Called back in 2 weeks, another 30 minutes on hold, Raymond said part shipping. A week later, another 25 minutes on hold, they will fedex part, I asked if instructions to replace will be on ncluded. Yes they said. Part arrives, hoorah, no instructions, call another 27 minutes hold, lady says she will email me instructions. Verified email, still haven’t received, finally figured it out and lock mechanism doesn’t work. How can a company stay in business with this product and support. About to use as a anchor for Christmas trees, sink in lake and should make a good fishing spot. Save your money and frustration. Horrible experience with Cannon and Academy Sports and Outdoors should be ashamed to carry this product line.

Almost unused Safari (Cannon) safe will no longer open. Tried 8 new batteries, none worked. Worse yet the people at Cannon (Safari) do not answer their published phone 847-665-1635. Nor do they answer their own online internet web communicator. Nor do they respond to emails (This site would not let me put the cannon email address in). WARNING spend your money somewhere else.
