Very bad experience with Caliber Collision and Liberty Mutual. 1) I own my car, I have collision. I sent an estimate to Liberty, submitted supplements and they sent back money. Then we choose a body shop (Caliber gave a mid-level estimate). I dropped it off to Caliber as self pay. I never gave them a policy number, wrote 'Self Pay' on the drop off form and never expected them to get involved with our insurance company, no reason to, we were 'Self Pay'. 2) Somehow Liberty finds our body shop and sends them a competitor estimate that is higher. Or Caliber got our policy number and found our information in Liberty's system. Either way, without informing us, the body shop disregards our original estimate, and creates a new estimate that is 43% higher but doesn't tell us. We don't find out until we pick it up and get an invoice. 2b) If the shop wanted to increase the cost 43% then they needed to call us and let us know before working on it right? If they did, we would have gotten our car out of there since we had other realistic estimates. 3) Liberty knew we were "Direction to pay" or direct pay. Caliber knew we were 'Self Pay' or 'Cash Pay'. I expected the service I requested when I dropped off at Caliber, Liberty had no right (or reason) to interfere with my shop of choice. No rational behind Liberty sending my body shop a higher estimate. And/or Caliber had no right to bypass us and, without informing us, ignore our 'Self Pay' directive and get our private info from 'the system' and throw away our estimate. 4) I think it was completely inappropriate for Liberty to let my shop have access to my private policy information like estimates, supplements, payment etc. I never gave Caliber my policy information and I don't know how these 2 companies got in touch with each to exchange so much private information. Now I'm getting bullied and harassed by Caliber who expects to get all the claim money. Not sure why they even know how much was paid out. Even if Caliber could legitimately explain the sudden 43% increase over the original estimate (for a simple bent door) it is still irrelevant. All the damage was perfectly visible to the estimator. Liberty blames their 'system' as if that justifies the unusual activity. I see this as very suspect and they refuse to take responsibility for this corrupted process. As the customer, I had no chance to put a stop to the work or get my car out. These companies have told me to pay whatever the shop decides, even though the shop gave me an estimate before I dropped it off. I no longer have any trust in either of these companies and would never do business with them again. I suggest you avoid them altogether.

I just pick up my car from Caliber and am, more than satisfied with the service, professionalism and friendliness of every person I came into contact with. I even got my car back a day early! Will definitely use them again should the need arise.

Nobody wants to need a body shop, but when it's necessary a good experience is what we want. Mine was a most pleasant experience. From meeting Rose, who was more than helpful with paperwork, to Seth, who showed me what the necessary repairs would be, I had a feeling of confidence. They shepherded me through from front to back and they were so pleasant I was almost disappointed to get my car back!

I visited your Portsmouth center and was very angry because so many employees were not wearing masks!!!

I brought my 2019 for ranger to caliber on Washington street in Sarasota . Karen graciously and professionally gave me an accurate estimate and return date on the spot . Within a week i had and appointment and a seamless transition to enterprise to rent a car for the term of the repairs . One week later i had my truck returned in mint condition , fully detailed and a pick up for the rent a car organized by caliber at the repair shop . The whole process couldn't have been made any easier . much thanks to Gidget for handling the office and insurance claim without any effort from me . nice job and highly recommend

This is my first ever 5 star rating. It is for every element of my experience yesterday with Caliber Collision in Cottage Grove, MN. Fortunately I have never had a bad experience with a body shop, however my experience yesterday was absolutely AMAZING! It was a big issue to me but a breeze for Jason to tackle on the spot. I was treated with utmost respect and the cost was MINIMAL! Convenient location, scheduler was very nice and efficient, place was clean, no junk or damaged cars littering the landscape, well equipped and very knowledgeable team. Looked to me like they work closely with every insurance company available. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone; would not hesitate having my wife deal with this shop directly or any of my friends & relatives for that matter. I would have given Jason and his crew ten stars if that was an option. Thanks again Jason & Crew! Mike L

I've had work done at Caliber collision on several occasions. They do great work and recommend them to anyone.
