Had my vehicle at Caliber collision a few times in the past year for minor cosmetic damage. Both times they forgot to attach my front license plate/bracket and they failed to repair a damaged fender that was damaged during the accident. They ended up having to replace the fender because there was rusty metal hanging that was damaged during the accident so the car had to go back into repair for another week. Im completely baffed how that was missed because it was plain as day. Lacking final inspection, paying attention to detail, and missing repairs and forgetting to put parts on is unacceptable. Quality of work was good, and I didnt buy the excuses why the work wasnt completed or why the damage wasnt repaired. As mentioned, both times by vehicle was ready, it had to come back 2x to fix and repair what was required.

Why did I got laid off

They broke my tonneau cover. I came here because of the wonderful reviews and they did a wonderful job with the repairs. Couldn’t be happier with the entire process and end result. With that said, they removed and replaced my trucks tonneau cover although the damage was on my bumper and lower side. I noticed that the cover was not in the correct position and said so asking why it was moved. I was told they removed it to paint the lower body. This didn’t make sense to me but seemed okay- just needed to be taken off and put on correctly. It’s not a simple thing to do for me. I need help and tools to do that so I drove away. Well, it snapped at the top of the cover (near the truck cab, not the area that ever moves) while driving. I reached out but was told they are not responsible for it and although they admit to removing and reinstalling it, said they aren’t liable for any after market items. I was told that I drove away with it so it was fine when I left. If I had any idea they would need the truck bed cover to be removed, I would have done it. Now I have a broken cover due to them installing wrong and too tight. I reached out to State Farm as well and they, not surprisingly, don’t feel responsible either.

First, everyone at Caliber was friendly and I enjoyed them all. My problem started with my expectations not being met. I had $5,000 of hail damage. I was told by Caliber two weeks from my appointment that it would take one day, maybe an additional half day. I thought my wife and I could get by with one car. I scheduled the repair. Caliber has a neat website to follow your car’s progress. After day one, I didn’t see any change. I called and was told that it may take another day. I had some travel where I needed a car, so I called our local rental agency. No cars available for two and a half days! If I would known back when I first contacted Caliber, I would have called and reserved a car. Our lives were full of hassles and cancelled appointments almost every day during the week. It would have been different if I would have known up front that it would take five full days. I needed to call for an update every day—the only one I received from Caliber was for the pickup, even though I was promised daily updates and returned calls. To be fair to Caliber, they are probably short staffed like most of the service industry post-pandemic. I think if the expectations would have been realistic and the communication better, I would have given 5 stars. Little changes can make a big difference.

I had used ARBA Collision before for similar repairs and was disappointed in the new owners. Prior arrangements were discarded so it took a long time to get all the paperwork done, during which time the manager(?) chased me out of the waiting room for pulling my face mask down while using my cellphone trying to get the problems straightened out. I observed later that NONE of the employees were wearing face masks. I was told that the bumper repair should take 2-3 days, and it took 10, including two weekends and Thanksgiving day, so I got hung for 7 days replacement car rental while I was repeatedly being reassured that it was "almost ready". Repairs were adequate, but I will not be back to Caliber Collision.
