I had never used Build.com before and will never use them again after my experience. On their website it showed items in stock that I needed so I placed an order. Next day, received an email saying the items would be shipped out over a month later because there was no stock even though the website showed over 30 in stock for each item. Tried to Chat with an "Expert" and after waiting 35 minutes for chat, I decided to call. Waiting another 20 minutes on the phone while Chat was still waiting and finally got someone on the phone. They told me they'd look into it and get back to me. Received an email the next day saying the items were in stock and would ship. 4 days go by and nothing. I then Chat again and tell them to cancel my order. Simple as that. Received an email the next business day saying the order can't be cancelled because it was shipped. March 5: Cancel the Order March 8: Order Shipped, can't Cancel March 10: Order Actually Ships They had over 2 days to cancel this order and didn't. Now I'm stuck with trying to get the items shipped back and having to print out return labels (I don't have a printer) and then take to a UPS store. So no matter what I'm out of time and money as I won't give this crap company any of my money. I thought Ferguson was a good company but I guess not. DO NOT USE! You might get lucky and have a good experience but you probably have better odds playing the lottery.

I should have read the reviews - their shipping dates are a complete scam - NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE NO INTEREST IN WHEN THINGS WILL ARRIVE

I was surprised to see so many one star reviews We purchased an electric fireplace heater- and yes with pandemic there was a delay but I knew this when I Purchased it as it was clearly noted on the page. It ended up being back ordered for just one week. It was shipped promptly. I was provided tracking information to follow its progress. The real flame little Château heater unit is very sweet does a great job and it’s exactly what I wanted.

I purchased a wine cooler from winecoolersdirect.com which is a build.com website. When dealing with their customer service, I was forwarded to build.com each time through chat, email and phone. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever experience. I waited for an “expert” on chat yesterday and was the “1st in line” for over an hour during their normal chat hours listed. I’ve sent multiple emails and no replies. Don’t get me started on their phone based customer service... I was sitting on hold to set up my return for an item I asked them to cancel before it even shipped and the system just hung up on me! I called back and finally got a customer service rep (an hour after placing my first phone call), who is the rudest customer service rep I have ever talk to and proceeds to lie to me about why my order was not canceled 2 weeks ago. I asked to talk to a manager because the information she had was incorrect and she told me she was going to hang up on me if I “yelled” at her again, which I was not yelling I was just asking to speak to a manager. Anyone who would flat out lie to a customer should be fired. I hung up and plan on calling back to speak to someone else that isn’t so combative over a simple return. Their website says “easy returns “all over it and then when you actually try and return some thing it’s the most difficult process I’ve ever dealt with.

Before you buy from Build Direct please read the reviews. I didn't but I wished I had. I purchased a Rinnai tankless water heater from Amazon "The Rinnai Store". Had I realized I was actually purchasing from Build.com I would never considered buying it. Other Build.com outlets are FaucetDirect.com, LightingDirect.com, Handlesets.com, VentingDirect.com, PullsDirect.com. Support your local businesses who have gone to the expense to invest in your community, and provided value add. There was no discount on this purchase, the price was the published retail price. I am still waiting for the order. Each day I get an updated delivery date for the next day by 9:00 pm.

I ordered a Kohler sink. The specs said it possessed a 1 1/4 inch faucet hole. When the sink arrived the sink had a 1 1/8th inch faucet hole. A 1 1/4th inch faucet does not fit 1 1/8th inch hole. Return and or refund - terrible experience. I contacted their 'chat and ask an "expert" and after the 4th person who did not know faucets and sinks had different hole sizes I gave up. Many calls - always we are too busy due to high demand, emails - none of which have been answered. I cannot get the sink replaced or my money back. I will see if I can obtain the # for their legal office or corporate headquarters.

I wish there was a way to give NO stars!!! YOu have been warned! DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS CO NO MATTER WHAT!!! I wanted to do a bath remodel and ordered everything from build.com...new facet, stopper, shower head, towel bar tub facet etc....everything new and matching. They take all your money and then weeks later tell you it will be "delayed"...I ordered on Jan. 3 and then they said delay until Feb 26....just received an email delayed unit MAY 7! They never had the stuf i ordred ...took all my money and then just left me hanging with the bath torn to pieces and waiting for the parts. THEY SUCK!!! LIARS AND CHEATS!!!

BUYER BEWARE! I was looking for a replacement plumbing part and I found it on build.com. Next to the item it states "FREE Delivery by Tuesday." However, when I added the item to the cart and went to check out they added a shipping charge. I called the company and they agreed it looks misleading but would not honor "FREE Delivery." I found the part from a different company that is HONEST about their charges. Shop around before you purchase from build.com!
