Worst bank of all time. Switching to a credit union. I have had an account at Bank of the west since before they were bank of the west. I was 12 when I got my savings account. I'm 38 now and bmo has destroyed customer service and relationships. Wish I could rate it no stars. Takes me 20 minutes to check my account instead of 2. Then they ask you for information you don't even have. I never created on online account and I don't want to. But they insist on pushing me. Ruined my bank. Absolutely ruined it.

I would give zero stars if I could simple customer service eludes these people. BMO bought bank of the West. The device level like fell off the counter and straight into the garbage. I would recommend this bank to people who I don't care for. It is going to be fun watching them close if they keep this level of neglect up. I had my bank of the west account since I was 18 years old now at 49 I see brand loyalty doesn't mean anything to banks like this. I am sticking with Huntington since they have great service and have actual problem solvers.

ZERO stars - After being 'transferred' several times and every time being conveniently disconnected our issue was never resolved. BMO offered a 0% for 12 months balance transfer on our card. Logged into our account to accept the offer. After inputting the transfer information it gave an error message that it could not be processed and a number to call. The number did not correspond to BMO credit cards division, instead it was the banking division, so there began the multiple transfers and disconnects. When we were able to speak to someone, they only wanted the code they send to the phone and would not listen but talk over you the whole time in a rude condescending manner - every single person we spoke to. We ended up in the fraud department because apparently the offer they gave us online once we had logged into our account was subject to this treatment?? If you accept their offer, they will run you through the ringer and you will not get anywhere or your balance transfer completed. This card will be closed if we can find the right customer service person to actually listen to us to get it done. I have never dealt with such a circus. There is no way I would ever trust this bank with my actual banking needs!! Run!! Don't consider BMO, you will definitely regret it if you do!! Every time we have needed to call them it has been a hassle to get to the right department and always involves hang-ups from their end but the offered balance transfer that won't go and zero explanation as to why (it was definitely under the credit limit with the fees) that ends up in the fraud department with and we still don't know why - BYE BYE BMO!!! I can't imagine you will be around long with these business practices!!

Worse bank ever, send a payoff on September 14 and never got posted until October 3, helping themselves to more interest. They should be reported tot Federal Credit Act since they have no integrity only to steal from the consumer, I had to pay the extra interest because they refused to post the check until that time. Even today they have not closed my account.

They promised lots and delivered less than nothing. They cost us money. The customer service were literally morons, unable to do basic tasks or answer questions. When we were not getting disconnected, we were told daily for weeks our issues were fixed only to find out the next day they were not. Ask for a manager, get disconnected. We spent a month trying to get a US account to work and then gave up and went to a real bank. Don't waste your time or money with this joke of a bank.

If I could, I would rate them "No Stars". Their customer service is not very helpful and they never know what I am talking about when I call. They took over a loan from a bank that had branches in the United States and I have had nothing but problems from the beginning of the transfer. After their transitioning time, I was originally told, they did not have an account for me. There were issues with my first payment and it took forever to post. I wrote a letter regarding my experience and I receive a phone message (caller ID was "Unknown") regarding my letter. When I called the number that was provided and gave the name of the person, no one knew what I was talking about. I suggest that if they are dealing with accounts in the USA, they need to have calls centers in the USA and branches available where they service loans.

I took a $15,000 loan out from MY 401k. The check came in and I deposited it into my checking account. I was promptly handed a piece of paper. Which stated there would be a 14 day hold, after My deposit was taken. I was given around $5400.00 Of MY money. I cannot buy my car and now lost the chance, because BMO likes to play games. Why would a bank need to hold a check of my own money for... Now they tell me is NOW 15 business days!?!?

Bought RV through Bank of The West. BMO bought BOW. Online banking acts and looks like a high school kid wrote the code. No way to process principal only payments. Also, not sure why they call it a customer support line. Total crap bank, searching for new finance tomorrow.
