As per many reviews. My partner requires a Schengen Visa. Ahead of an appointment you are required to book all travel and accommodation arrangements. Additionally, you need appropriate insurance policies which is a lot of expense. Once you get to the appointment stage, it's impossible to book as all the limited slots are already booked with only a 3 to 4 week horizon. 2 months out, it would appear that I now need to cancel everything that comes at a cost as we cannot get a visa! Since posting my review yesterday, I have had a quote for the remote home visit service. They quoted is £733 which is prohibitive so currently BLS service or lack of, is preventing us getting a visa. This must be breaking the rules around freedom of movement, something I though EU were very proud of!

We went for our second appointment on the 2nd November, super freindly girl, very polite, submitted papers but needed an airline ticket, I quickly booked a flight, asked reception to print which they did, got another token and had to hardly wait to be attended by a very friendly gentleman, he sorted the papers out, took what he thought was only necessary (from experience I guess), 7 days later we received our passport with the visa. I have submitted several reviews about our experience in this office, all have been positive, every time we go to the centre, there are people that are unaware of the required documents (like us), I can't personally fault the reception staff who have always been helpful, those processing the paperwork have always been courteous and polite, and we in turn have always treated the staff with respect, the office is busy at times, the staff have a job to do, and it is necessary to concentrate and make sure they get the right paperwork, we as customers make mistakes as we have on this occassion, but never loose respect for the staff as our mistakes are not their fault. I am trying to book a visa appointment for my wife (as she is not a UK citizen) at BLS Edinburgh center for a holiday in Tenerife. To view the appointment available, you need complete the Visa application. This will require you to book your flight and your hotel accommodation first as this information is required in the application form. Once you have booked the flight/accommodation, then there is no appointment available in the system and you do not know when you can submit your visa application. The booking system is totally broken and never considers the impact on the user who needs to apply visa to Spain.

I want to thank the staff in Manchester branch for being helpful and polite. They helped me on my application by applying their experience e.g. I had put the book confirmation from trip.com but the handler told me I need to put the ticket from airline otherwise it can get rejected. He (Abu) helped me download and print the tickets. Most important is that I felt that they want every case submitted to get a successful, so help people put the information / supporting documents along with the application. I am waiting for the visa, hope to hear a positive decision soon.

It’s been third visit to BLS for three diff application but I had a very good experience even though I had some issue with my application. First two time Preeti helped me n this time Sonia. Both were very helpful n kind. 😊

Absolute rubbish. People working at this company are complicit in the sale of appointments on the black market. Getting an appointment online is almost impossible. I tried for many months but to no avail. Any country using their services (e.g. Spain) is probably uninterested in foreigners visiting their country and contributing to the economy via tourism.

I tried booking online but slots were full, called customer service gotcavsl9t for today, great, I brought the wrong brp card which is my mistake, whilst there, staff were great, can't understand why people complain, if you read the requirements, prepare everything, they do a great job. I've used them 2 times previously, and never had an issue. Maybe customers should be more polite, after all they are doing a job like most of us.

Very unorganized company. Bad attitude of employees. Even the security guards on the door way act like cocky roosters. Unbelievable. That’s all I have to say.
