The staff are all very nice but I keep getting deferred for my pulse being too high. At home it runs around 80-90bpm but when I get to Biolife it skyrockets. I wish this wasn't a reason to not let someone donate. I always pass all the other tests. The blood pressure parameters are much less strict. They told me anything under 180/100 passes. (My blood pressure is very good, btw.) I work in Healthcare and this makes no sense to me. Someone with high blood pressure is a higher risk than someone that's pulse is high because they're nervous.

Generally, a great place with great staff. But, I'm more than a little miffed because I can't go back for eight weeks due to "technical" issues (things that were NOT my fault). Twice I didn't get the proper return (once because of the machine, once because I believe the techs did not act fast enough to switch arms). So, no I'm out of what was supposed to be my income to feed my kids and other bills to help pay. So, I'm now missing out until November 11th due to miscues. Not cool.

Very professional, friendly and care about what they are doing. They treat you like a person and get to know you rather than a number. They clean everything very well.

I've been donating plasma since April of 2023 at the Vista Ca location. The staff there is always nice and the clinic is kept very clean. Not a bad way to make an extra $80-$120 a week, whilst doing it for a good cause by helping those in need of the plasma. As long as you don't have any preexisting health conditions; & can spare up to 3 hours of your work day twice a week; I highly recommend donating plasma.
