Title: BioLife Review Overall, my experience at BioLife has been good, and the staff have been helpful. However, there are two things I believe could be improved. First, some of the music played in the facility feels inappropriate for a professional healthcare environment, especially with patients present. I also feel that staff should be mindful of speaking negatively about or criticizing coworkers in front of patients. It can make patients uncomfortable and does not create the professional atmosphere you would expect in a healthcare setting. I hope BioLife will take this feedback into consideration because, aside from these concerns, I have had a good experience.

Overall I have had good experiences at the Georgetown location but I need to say this. Some of your staff there need more training. Once I was jabbed too deeply and felt a pop and developed a hematoma. During a later visit the first phlebotomist couldn't seem to find the vein and I ended up having to be stuck a second time. I was told that I had 'clotted' and they couldn't return 200 ml. I ended up with bruising on both arms. While this is not the end of the world it was not pleasant. I will return but please share with your staff to be a little more careful. Aside from that everyone is friendly and polite.

It was opening day at the Georgetown, TX location. Lots of new donors, of course. I thought that would slow everything down, but it didn't. The line was short and quick. Donation time went easy and smooth. Since it was opening day, they had snacks and drinks for everyone. I'll be back next week!

The Bolingbrook IL location Phlebotomists ALL gets a 96% on getting the needle in the vein for a complete and successful donation compared to the other Plasma Centers in my area and trust me we have several plasma centers from ActaPHARMA , CSL to Grifols just to name a few but this particular location I feel at ease because the staff all work as a team and fully organized and professional.. I mean they work well together only bad thing I don’t like is that the compensation appears to be getting quite low, I could go elsewhere to another plasma center or the other Biolife branch in Addison IL but I feel safe knowing these particular group of Phlebotomists do their job well and I’m not a person that’s easy to please. A

A relatively easy way to make extra money. The 1st visit took a long time (lots of screening questions on a computer, and a physical). But most follow up visits I could do in about an hour and a half (with an appointment). Sometimes there is a long wait, but that's hard to predict as it's based not only on how many people show up to donate but also how many employees are working and both seem to vary a lot. My only beef is that they keep dropping the price they pay me so it may eventually get so low it's no longer worth it for me. Initially it was $100/time and you can go twice a week (and you have to go twice to get the full amount). Then I think it went to $85/time, and now it's $65/time.

Everyone that works there is very friendly and professional! The business is well maintained and well run.
