The whole staff at the Summerlin center are amazing. Very friendly and helpful , even though it is always busy there, they still are very courteous, and make you feel comfortable.

The staff are so friendly and working so hard, but the facility is understaffed, especially with the new machines that are faster but with all the waiting I am honestly there longer than I was with the old machines

Most of the donations I have done went well, but all take alot longer than they need too!! Why do you have to make an appointment when you never get in at that time?? Most donation appointments take at least 1 1/2 hours. They are way under staffed and they over-book the appointments., My last appointment I sat in the chair for 40 mins and finally got up and left. I can't take that much time out of my day every week.

The technician left me bruised on Oct 24, which left me unqualified for my Oct 26 appointment. I was told by the nurses I had to wait until the bruising cleared

I really liked everyone there. (Dallas-Beltline) I do wish there were some things that I could have known that I have had in place before my 1st appointment. 1. Had to reschedule my first appointment because I had a conflict with a program at school for Grandparents. I was not told that I could not leave the facility once I got there. ALSO 2. No one told me that I would need a letter from my Primary MD allowing me to participate since I was over age 65. This was already after being there for 2 hours. 3 Next time, my iron level was too low (Only a week earlier it was within limits). 4. Fourth time was "charm" and I was able to participate in apheresis. PROS: I appreciated the techs explaining the process with me. Although I was scolded for taking a picture of the giving levels readout. That was not explained prior.

After donating on and off during 2021, I came back and donated in August 2023, no problem. I received emails asking me to come back so I did at the beginning of October. The tech kept moving the needle around and I ended up with major blood bruises that kept me from donating for 2 weeks. When I came back a manager tried to get a needle in and said that I had too much scar tissue from previous donations. Now I’m concerned about the possibility of health problems and needing a transfusion or IV, but not being able to do either.

I've been a donor for years.......and it's so cool to be greeted by name when I walk in for my donation appt. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and make the experience of donating plasma feel valued and worthwhile. I always look forward to my biweekly visits! I even sent the staff a cool postcard from Australia this past July....... 'cause the money I earned from donating paid for my entire month long journey to Australia and New Zealand! How's that for a great incentive to donate?
