Since the transition off Wells Fargo, the whole experience has been absolute trash. No customer service, no dispute help, no Quickbooks integration, confusing rewards system, overly complicated point system for rent. Prime opportunity for a competitor to come in and take Bilt customers

Bilt fails to disclose fee schedules…
Bilt fails to disclose fee schedules for payments. When asked about it in chat, they couldn't even get it right. (They say ACH payments don't incur any fee, but since they try to avoid disclosing other fees and then can't get them straight, I don't believe them.)
Bunch of scammers. Avoid them, and write a check for your rent instead.

Bilt started big but now worthless
Bilt started with giving credit for rentel payment and earning points. From February 2026, the credit is completely removed and so effect on your credit score. And the points value is now negligible, 1000 points = $5.50. So, if you pay $2000 monthly rent, you earn $11. But annual card fee is $95. So, total annual benefit = 11x12 - 95 = $37. Bilt started in big ways but now 😩😩

Bilt Technologies is Corrupt
Bilt Technologies failed to resolve a payment reversal issue properly and provided inadequate customer support.
My apartment management company reversed the disputed payment and has confirmed multiple times that the issue is fully resolved on their end. Despite this, Bilt continues to refuse crediting my account or adjusting the balance accordingly.
I have repeatedly tried to resolve this directly with Bilt, but the company has failed to offer a meaningful resolution or a clear explanation for why my account remains uncorrected. Making matters worse, Bilt does not provide access to a live customer service representative by phone. For a financial services company handling rent payments and consumer funds, lacking direct customer support is unacceptable and falls below standard industry practices.
At this point, Bilt’s refusal to properly credit my account despite confirmation from the rental company seems unreasonable and has caused unnecessary financial stress and wasted time. I am requesting that Bilt immediately correct my account balance, send written confirmation of the resolution, and improve its customer support accessibility for consumers facing urgent financial issues.

I applied for the Bilt card based on…
I applied for the Bilt card based on the idea that I could pay rent, avoid the credit card fee, and still use it like a normal credit card with a billing cycle.
That is not how it actually works, and this is not clearly explained.
To avoid the fee, payments are processed as ACH (bank transfer), which means the money is withdrawn from your account almost immediately. There is no credit card float, no billing cycle, and no option to pay later. It behaves like a direct bank debit.
If you try to use it as a true credit card, the fee applies—just like any other card. So the core idea many people assume (no fee + credit card timing) is simply not possible.
This is the main issue: the product is marketed in a way that strongly suggests you can “use a credit card for rent without fees,” but it does not make it clear that avoiding the fee fundamentally changes how the payment works.
In my case, I would have never applied for this card if that had been clearly stated. I could have just used my bank account directly in my rent portal and achieved the same payment behavior without opening a new credit line.
Also, for users focused on American Airlines, it is important to know that Bilt points cannot be transferred to AAdvantage. This is another key limitation that is not obvious upfront.
The product itself may work as designed, but the lack of clarity around its most important limitation leads to completely different expectations.

Stay far away.
Absolute scam company. They switched card providers and didn't communicate well at all. Long-story short, my rent payment went to the old provider, therefore I couldn't pay my rent on my new card until I got my refund check back. This cost me $80 in interest. Bilt then said "Just call this number to get it waved". Upon doing so, there is no phone support available unless you pay a high annual fee for the Palladium card. What!?
Here's the best part. You no longer get 1% on your Bilt card for rent payments. Now you basically have to ONLY use your Bilt card for EVERYTHING if you want to get the 1% on your rent payment.
In my opinion, this company is a complete scam. I will be using all of my points and then closing my card.
