I visited your store in Groves area & there was a sale on winter sheets, comforters & throws . And the cashier was extremely nice & patient with my daughter & I. But The manager was extremely rude & very impatient with us . I shop big lots at least 3days a week ! So now I've been driving to the Beaumont location .But i would have liked to shop closer to my house. Thx for listening .💗🌹

Prices are too high
Prices are too high on the majority of furniture and home decorations and plant pots and yard decor. Dont think the quality is there to charge that kind of expensive pricing.

Do NOT buy online for biglots.com
Do NOT buy online for biglots.com large items. On Jan 12th I fell in love with a couch in the store. I didn’t buy it in the store because I thought to myself I don’t have the time now I’ll just go home and buy online tonight (assuming they would ship from a local big lots store) no big deal. I was not informed that when you purchase online for a delivery that you’re actually buying straight from the manufacturer! My couch that I ordered on Jan 12th was shipping from CA!!!! I was told I would hear to set up delivery with in 7-15 business days... so I waited... and waited... by the 20th of Jan I was calling daily for an update as online it stilled hadn’t moved from “processing” stage. Around the 20th of Jan I was told it finally shipped (online status still says “processing” not “shipped” which would be the next stage) from CA to travel across the country to NY! Had I known all this I would have bought in the store and rented a uhaul! Sometime around the 27th I was told it arrived at the local delivery station. I never heard anything about scheduling a delivery so I start calling again.. I was lied to and told actually it wouldn’t arrive till the 30th on the 30th it was still not there... a week goes by on Feb 10th I am finally told that it officially arrived at the delivery station and I can set up delivery. I call on the 10th and set up a delivery for Feb 18th because that’s the soonest they will be in my area. Everything is set up and ready to go. Feb 17th around 9am I receive a call from the delivery service to confirm delivery for the 18th. Confirmed. Feb 17th around 5:30 pm I receive a call from the delivery service saying actually they don’t have all 3 pieces to my couch so they can not deliver on the 18th. I’m so angry. On the 18th I call the local delivery which by local they are over 2 hours away and am told there is no way to deliver my couch on the 18th and the soonest they can deliver is on Feb 20th. It has officially been one and a half months and I still do not have the couch I ordered online. Trust me when I tell you it is NOT worth the headache of ordering online for an item that requires delivery. Some agents at big lots were pleasant and very helpful and others were down right rude and lied to move me off the phone. I’m writing this because I want to warn others of the hassle this can be. Now that the couch has traveled across the country, been sitting in a warehouse for weeks I’m scared to even think of what possible shape it could be in.

Beware of leather couch purchases
Bought a leather couch two years ago and time for another somewhere else! Good prices which I can understand now for quality . The stuffing is like teddy bear stuffing is the best way I can describe it. All sunk in on where we sit and don’t use often.

I ordered a fireplace mantel in January…
I ordered a fireplace mantel in January and paid over 400$ for it, when I received my package via Fed Ex, I discovered I was sent the wrong merchandise. Big Lots allowed me to keep the entertainment center, however, when I tried to put it togethet, the parts were missing and broken so I trashed it. A week later I received my original order but when my husband took the pieces out of the box they were chipped and broken. I cannot even put it together. I have to wait 48 hours to even speak to a supervisor to make it right. I am very disappointed in this service and DO NOT RECOMMEND ORDERING ONLINE AT ALL!! 😞😞😞

“Recently went to this store to buy a storage cabinet. The prices are great and setting it up was extremely easy. I had to use minimal tools. As a young adult looking for the best quality with the best prices and going here gives me the best prices and the best long-lasting quality”-Evelyn

Biglot's - the Lastest Ripoff Store
I was looking for new curtains. I had a certain style and color in mind. I had shopped online and was now checking local stores.
Luckily, I went to Ollie's before Big Lot's.
Ollie's had good quality curtain panels for $10.00, Waverly and others. Big Lot's had brands I did not recognize for $25.
Ollie's sheers were $6.99. Of course, I bought them. Big Lot's? $10. I noticed Big Lot's lovely Broyhill sectional sofa when I walked in but I also noticed a coffee table with the set that severely needed dusting.
Of course, the shelves in Big Lot's contain many types of items. They are crowded together, not neatly arranged as you would see in a large chain store be it department store or grocery store.
Both Ollie's and Big Lot's are selling closeout items. But Big Lot's suddenly thinks that it is an upscale department store. The problem with this is the dusty coffee table and, on another occasion, the things that I asked the store worker for that they don't carry as would be done in normal chain stores. They only carry what you have been able to buy as closeout lots.
Again, there are the prices. I looked at my brand of cat food at Big Lot's. It was as much as any major grocery store, more than some.
It is not as if their store is well decorated and carrying designer products. They usually don't.
Of course, you will find Boyhill Naples collection furniture at Big Lots but if you go to Broyhill and click on it, it will lead you back to Big Lots. They are the only sellers of this collection. Does this mean that this is a bad collection? Certainly not, but it means that this Broyhill is a closeout lot or a super low priced set from Broyhill sold only to Big Lots.
Big Lots Google listing states "Big Lots! Live BIG. Save LOTS." That is completely untrue.
Overall, Big Lot's is pretty much a cheap store now trying to masquerade as an expensive department store.
I will not shop at Big Lot's again but I will keep checking back with Ollie's. I have gotten some really amazing deals on quality products at Ollie's.

I would give my experience zero stars…
I would give my experience zero stars if it were an option. I purchased a sectional 1 year ago from Big Lots, along with a $70 three-year warranty. The manager who processed the transaction assured us that rips, stains, wear-and-tear, etc would be covered under warranty, so of course my husband and I felt like the warranty was a good purchase. Wrong. The sectional has ripped at the seam and the seats are peeling. I called the warranty number, only to be informed that rips at the seam and peeling/cracking of leather are NOT covered under warranty. This is NOT what the store manager told us. We were, essentially, lied to just to make the sale. AWFUL customer service. Will never ever shop at Big Lots again!
