I went shopping at Santa Clara Big lots yesterday 5/12/20. As usual, I end up buying so much again. after I'm done paying my groceries, the cashier put the plastic bag and walked away and started talking to her co-worker and ignored me. I asked her if she's going to bag my groceries and she told me that they are NOT ALLOWED to bag any items from that store Due to COVID 19. I look all over the store and didn't see any sign that I will be bagging my own groceries. I have been buying my groceries to most of the big stores like Safeway, Smart and Finals, Grocery Outlets, and Dollar Stores and they always bag my groceries. I always wear my face mask and gloves and the Cashier has her face mask and gloves as well. She said the reason they won't bag my items to protect themselves self but yet, she touches all those items when she scanned them one by one. I would never to back to this store again and that lady was so rude and unprofessional.

Ordered online. WORST experience of my online shopping life. First problem ordered was not filled for 2 weeks. Second problem they only shipped half of the order. Third problem when they did ship the other remaining item it was wrong. Forth problem they no longer have the first item since they go together I need to return the first item. I get a return label and ship it back still waiting on a credit 3 weeks later. Every time I call it is over an hour on hold. Never anyone to fix the problem. Dont try it you are warned. I am out 74.67

We bought a faux leather couch and chair one year ago with a warranty. The couch appears to have had all the the "leather" come off, to the point that it appears to have dissolved. We called the warranty department, and they said that this does NOT qualify for replacement or repair. NOT appropriate Big Lots! We have been swindled.

Hello, I bought some furniture at BIG LOTS about two years ago and I bought the extended warranty since, according to the seller, it covered any damage, and the warranty expires in 2021. So last week, my chaise sofa material was ripped and I called to use my guarantee and I got denied the claim because according to the "TECHNICIANS" the material was not ripped but the seam was separated. I am a seamstress and i KNOW the difference between a separated seam and a ripped material. I specifically pointed it out in the picture but still got denied. Even though on the warranty contract, it says that it covers any type of ripped material. So, I would HIGHLY advise you NOT TO BUY from BIG LOTS for any type of furniture or WASTE YOUR MONEY on the supposed "Extended Guarantees" because they are SCAMMERS! Because in order to get you to buy from them they would offer 'the skies and the stars' BUT It's a complete SCAM!!

Online order received today. Missing one item but marked delivered online. I called to resove theissue. I was on hold for over an hour and half to get it resolved. There is no reason for it to take that long. They have no regards to people's time. Putting a customer on hold for that long leaves me to think that they were waiting for the customer to give up and hang up. Well I didnt lets hope I get the item I paid for delivered to me as promised. Not a happy first time online customer!

Bought a recliner not even 2 years ago. Bought the $400 warranty for it. Now, the recliner is lopsided and messed up and has a number of issues. So I called about the warranty and getting a replacement. They send a person out to make sure it is in need of a replacement!! It took a couple of weeks to even get an appt for someone to come out. When he finally came out, all he did was drill one spot and then told us to sit on the opposite side! It’s worse than it was. And don’t tell me where we need to sit! When we buy a $400 plus recliner, we should be able to sit on which side we want. Plus, he also talked about my special needs son and asked personal questions. Very unprofessional! I will NEVER buy anything from big lots again and I have told all of my friends and family about the horrible service.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Never in my life have I every experienced such awful customer service from an establishment. The employees, and “manager” at store 5277 in Delray Beach, Florida are rude, disrespectful, and downright disgusting. First, I called and spoke to a “Quineshia” (I am using quotes because I’m not sure the exact spelling of her name) who transferred me to the “manager” who then hung up on me. I called back and spoke to “Quineshia” again, who then transferred me to the “manager”, again, but this time the managers name was Jasmine. Jasmine informed me she was the only manager on shift at this time. She stated she was not the one that hung up on me. The employees lie. Whether it was “Quineshia” or Jasmine, someone lied and that alone will make me boycott a company like this. I can assure you I will NEVER shop at this location ever again. I’m not sure what type of training these employees go though, but it should probably be revised if this is how your employees act. Considering the times and the pandemic we are experiencing, they should be much better at speaking with the customers that keep their jobs open.
