BetterMed was a positive experience: all staff were cordial, efficient, and professional. No wasted time. My attending physician couldn't have been more thorough or attentive. I've already recommended to my friends!

I was more than impressed with the staff at the Bettermed located in Willow Lawn in Richmond, VA. From the front desk, to the tech that got my vitals, to the provider that saw me. Everyone was friendly and patient with me. I was seen for fever, aches, chills, and headache. My flu test came back negative, so the provider, Simon, decided to test me for COVID. I know they typically have an appointment policy, but Simon felt that my symptoms were bad enough to warrant a test -- and I am very grateful that he did so. It ended up coming back positive. Three days later, my coughing and shortness of breath had gotten significantly worse. I called back to Bettermed and spoke to another provider Anna. She was incredibly friendly and understanding of my situation, and ended up sending in some prescriptions for me to help with my coughing and breathing. This saved me a trip to the ER, as that was going to be my next step. I work in the healthcare field as a pharmacist, and must say I am very impressed with the bedside manner of Simon and Anna. I know urgent care settings can be busy and highly stressful, but they never let that show through with their interactions with me. They showed genuine concern for my situation and made me feel well cared for throughout my experiences with them. Kudos to them!

The nurse was very kind and friendly but other than that, really bad experience. Doctor barely checked me and ignored information about fever and temperature caused by infection, so she didn't give me an antibiotic. Two days later I finished with pneumonia caused by non treated esophagus infection. Waste time and money.

Very fast service and friendly staff for a COVID-19 test!

Over the course of Labor Day, your voice mail system did not accept messages in any of its voice mail boxes. Apparently they were full. You could not be reached on the general number, the covids results, nor the practice manager. Also, we had submitted drivers license and insurance information ahead of time, as requested. On the day of the test the receptionist could not find this. It took 6 days to get the result, which was too late for our purpose. In contrast to your office procedures, the technician who took the swab and the clinical person were very good.
