Overall I had a good experience with Betterhelp. I do find that the pricing is not helpful to accessibility, I was paying $180 a month which isn’t horrible but given the current climate it is not something I am able to maintain long term. The therapist that I was matched with was very knowledgeable and very adaptable to whatever my issues were, as well as my lack of time to schedule a formal appointment. I highly recommend giving this a try even if you are skeptical.

Better help is an affordable, quality way to connect with a counselor and enjoy many of the benefits of traditional therapy without the need to leave the comfort of your own home. As with any service, the need to find someone you truly connect with may take a couple of tries, but in the end it's absolutely worth it. Better help comes highly recommended.

Better help has been a great way to let out some of the frustrations I've encountered in dealing with the current social, economic, political and medical environments. I've received excellent support and encouragement in addition to help resolving specific issues. I haven't always gotten the answers that I've wanted, but I've gotten the answers I've needed. The level of trust necessary for successful therapy has been able to grow quickly due to the inherent anonymity associated with the platform. 5-stars, would highly recommend. My counselor reached out to me and started a conversation via the BetterHelp messenger on the first DAY I signed up. She is reliable, consistent, asks me thought provoking questions, and is great at suggesting tools and goals to help me. The app itself is easy to use, very reliable, and I can use it on both my phone and via the website on my computer. I love that I can communicate with my counselor all I want, at no extra cost. Its like extra therapy. And I never have to leave my house. All in all, even just 3 weeks in, I am noticing POSITIVE changes in myself and my life. Highly recommend.
