The cost of $400+ a month is not worth the very limited survices. Many adds say 'talk to someone anytime is convient to you' fact of the matter is they are not reachable often. Once you book a session you are locked out of any future bookings. Which means you can't rebook if something comes up. Just cancel and get pushed back 2 weeks+. I got bot replies to my specific concerns. The articles they share have the same advice you can get for free online. No shame to the working theripests but the service connecting us is misleading and overpriced. Look for a local help line instead.

This was my first time counseling. I was matched quickly, and I think the counseling is pretty fine. The counselor was late to every appointment, but she did stay the entire 30 minutes. The billing is the biggest issue with this. You get "one live session per week," but on multiple occasions, my counselor expressed they would be taking a week off for holidays or personal issues (understandable). However, only one time did I get a week extension from the company without asking. Another time this happened, I emailed the customer support. This was because there were 0 sessions available (not due to any schedule conflicts from my end, there were just no slots) for 11 days. They emailed me back that I would get "1 free week" as a one-time consolation in bold font. This was offered up like a prize when really this is breach of contract and not fulfilling services that really is not promised. However, when I go to schedule another appointment for my one week extension, it was literally 14 days before the next appointment was open. Without thinking, I signed up for the NEXT available appointment without realizing this was beyond the 1 week extension, so I was charged another subscription before this appointment even happened. Then, I was charged on Sunday for a charge that listed it was charged Monday. The money is not worth it at all when you can't even get the services you expect to receive, and when you confront the site, they act like it is a gift to give you a week of service you signed up for and did not receive by no fault of your own. Also, there are long response times for messages. Also, you can't add a promo code for future months even if you have one if you've already done some counseling. They won't email you either a receipt of your charges past the first charge. Find another service.

I had a very bad almost violent situation happen at work. I reached out to Betterhelp to talk to someone. Marissa was great. She got me to a place that I was no longer scared at work. She also got me back to the point that I stood up for myself.

I highly recommend using Betterhelp! It's so convenient and the care you receive from experienced, licensed counselors is truly life changing! They make finding you the perfect counselor for your specific needs so easy. I love the variety of ways you can communicate with your counselor & the secure, private sessions and Journaling. This was the best decision I made for a better, healthier me!!

I find the interface on Betterhelp to be very easy to book, change, cancel appointments. Speaking with the counselor is easy and texting between sessions is also easy. They remind you plenty of times so you don't forget your appointment. I find my counselor to be professional but friendly and very helpful in general. I totally recommend this site and have done so to friends
