Within a day, I had a therapist. They matched me with the perfect therapist. We met via video call and it was so life-changing. She helped me reframe my current situation and now I have hope! I am so, so thankful for BetterHelp and the therapist I was matched with!! The app interface is so easy and convenient to use, and it has made an incredible difference in my life that I can seek professional mental health help easily when I need it, not at the availability of some office across town. I have worked with BetterHelp just starting back in December 2021 because with my new job it has been a little stressful not really knowing what my future exactly looked like. I was overstressing, overworking my brain and knew I needed to reach out for some help. BetterHelp was super simple to start with and they linked me up with a wonderful lady I already enjoy talking with so much. She is tentative and compassionate. She is eager to listen and is extremely supportive. I am looking forward to continuing my sessions until I no longer need them and I definitely feel BetterHelp helped me get there. I have struggled with finding a therapist to suit my needs on my own so having this help is tremendously convenient and hassle-free. Thank you for all your help!

BetterHelp is a great to subscribe. I referred my daughters to this service. It has helped me advance as a person and my therapist is great with communicating with me.

I had signed up to better help after seeing multiple positive adverts about the service. However, truthfully I am concerned by the quality of service provided by your therapists Whilst I understand that better help offers casual and accessable mental health services, I feel a level of professionalism does need to be maintained. My first therapist spent most of the session slumped at the end of the screen. This body language read and disinterested and unengaged. They had also misread my profile and believed I was having relationship problems. When she probed me on this, is made me uncomfortable as I don't have a problem in my relationship. We discussed anxiety around a party I was hosting and whilst during the session the therapist offered practical advice, e.g. buying food and music, I don't feel as though the emotional problems around hosting were really addressed. I thought perhaps I was unlucky and I would try again with someone different. Whilst I must admit the second therapist I saw was better than the first, the session was cut short after only 25 minutes. This surprised me a great deal as I had to wait a while to get an appointment. I've checked just now and she isn't available for another two weeks. In addition to this, she asked me a number of leading or suggestive closed questions such as "do you feel as though your lack of validation from your parents had lead you to find it difficult to validate yourself?" Alongside a deal of closed questions (yes or no) relating to anxiety such as "do you find it difficult to be vulnerable?" I appreciate that as a qualified life coach, I easily recognise poor questions and communication styles. However I don't feel anyone would have walked out from either of those sessions having received any benefit. I wouldn't be so harsh to describe these sessions as bad. They were mediocre at best. Unfortunately when it comes to mental health, I do not believe mediocre is good enough. I do sincerely hope and believe there are more qualified and more experienced therapists enrolled with better help. However I do not wish to spend any more if my time using this organisation to improve my mental health.

Betterhelp was a lot better than 7 cups, which was my first attempt at anything like this. The groupinars are awesome and super helpful, although the chat can be distracting when you want to just focus on what the facilitators are saying. The therapist I had at the end was very, very kind and super awesome to talk to, and I wish I had met her sooner. Just manage your expectations when you come to Betterhelp. In my case, I only got to talk a therapist 3 times out of an entire month ~ my first therapist wasn't a good fit, which means I only got to talk to my wonderful therapist TWICE. I think you really need to be prepared to invest in the platform (which costs a significant amount for me (as much as my monthly rent!) to be able to really get the most out of talking to a therapist. I think it's because the therapists are also super loaded and super busy ~ it was a bit disheartening for me to not get to talk to my therapist more often and to hear how other people on the platform have been able to benefit so much and to hear the therapists conducting the groupinar go "talk about this with your therapist" knowing that my therapist's own schedule was so so full and it would be more than a week before I could get to talk to her. If you go in for Betterhelp all I can say is be sure to do your best to make the most out of it by signing up for all the groupinars you can and making the most of the worksheets and resources that they share with you. And I hope you find a therapist with a lot more time to talk to you. I honestly I was hoping for at least once a week, was all. But I guess that's an indicator of how good the therapists are.

I started BetterHelp for one thing and simultaneously became the betrayed half of an affair. I've been in therapy for 40 years for one thing or the other but what I love about BetterHelp is that they've seamlessly integrated 21st century tools with B.C. epiphanies. So far, it's been a God send.

My therapist really helped me take an introspective look at my issues. It was nice to just have a third party listening so that I could hear what someone outside of these tough situations had to say. The groupinars were fantastic— I wish I had been more diligent about attending. But they were amazingly helpful.
