BetterHelp is the easiest and most efficient way to receive the help and support during major life changes.

Did not get assigned a professional. only a health coach. After three days impossible to get into their web page or app, and the first session was assigned at 07:45 in the morning. I have cancelled by subscription after only four days, a total waste of money and time.

I've been using BH for a couple of months now, sticking to the same therapist I was initially assigned to after completing a form. I have personally joined just to get things off my chest from time to time, no major problems, but we all feel stressed and anxious from time to time, so that was my main goal - talking, understanding myself better, learning how to communicate better etc. So far it's been a good experience therapy-wise, the support groups are great, but most of all I'm doing it from the comfort of my home, so that's a major bonus for me. In short - affordable, convenient, flexible. I like it and my therapist is nice (but also, again, I don't think my problems are so bad, so maybe it depends on who you ask).

They ask all questions while sign up, then you have to pay, otherwise no step back and account can't be deleted, its a scam, avoid!

Would be 5 stars if I had a bit more customization for paying for sessions; but this concept and platform has been really helpful. I heard about BetterHelp from the podcast Armchair Expert, as it had been awhile since I have but my mental health first and needed to find a new therapist since moving out East. I was matched with a great resource who has really helped me focus on a few key things that I have been overlooking. I am a few months in and am happy to have this avenue of support and development. Even love that I was provided with a thank you gift as a supporter of BetterHelp and now have a journaling book outside of the platform.

I had a very frustrating experience with BetterHelp, particularly with one of the therapist. She canceled our session with a lame excuse about a "historically poor internet connection in the UAE" just 24 hours before we were scheduled. It felt like she was implying everyone in the UAE has unreliable internet, and her suggestion to find another way to communicate was dismissive. This came across as highly unprofessional for a platform that claims to offer accessible and reliable therapy. I expected much better, and this definitely wasn’t the start I had hoped for. After seeing similar complaints on Reddit about underqualified and overworked therapists on BetterHelp, I’m even more concerned. Good luck to anyone who chooses this service or therapist!

BetterHelp was a great service for me to get online therapy. The price was good and everything else is very flexible. There are so many options for providers that it makes it easy for someone who works at typical 9 to 5 to find spots in order to seek the help they need.

Being able to access mental health care from the comfort and privacy of my home is invaluable. We still live, unfortunately, in a society that places stigma on those seeking mental health assistance. Additionally, I appreciate that I am not limited to only the therapists that live in my community, specifically because when I began my therapy journey, I was seeking someone who had personal experience with the unique issues of being a parent of a special needs child. Where I currently live, a therapist with that particular expertise is virtually impossible to come by. This platform, however, opened up so many more options for me, and ultimately, the perfect fit in terms of my therapist. She has been a God-send and I don't believe I would have been this far in my healing journey without her!
