Frustrating experience now resolved
You would assume that a company that asks you to complete a survey in an attempts to match you with a therapist would honor your request. I asked for a female therapist and was assigned a male. When informed of this, I requested a female therapist again. I received an email providing a link for me to select a therapist from a list, but the link did not work no matter how many times I tried. I continued to get emails about setting up an appointment with the male therapist who I had rejected. I canceled my membership and then received an additional email regarding the male therapist that I did not choose to work with. This was a very frustrating experience during a time that I was struggling emotionally. The company finally reached out to me and refunded my money. I am satisfied that they finally understood my frustration and gave me options that solved my problem.

We're sorry to hear about this experience and can definitely understand your frustration. You should be able to select your own therapist match (after the initial match is made) from a list of options, and generally have female therapists available in all states. I've requested the email address linked to your BetterHelp account so that we can have a member of our management team reach out to you directly to see if we can get this resolved.
