I bought a medical alert system from Bay Alarm Medical for my mother for Christmas. She refused to wear the necklace and didn't want any part of the system. When I bought the system I could pay an upfront monthly cost or get six months of monitoring and save money. I went with the six month plan. When my mom was not happy with the idea of having this system, I tried talking her into it but after a few weeks she still refused. I called Bay Alarm Medical to cancel the subscription but they told me I missed the refund period by a week. I said, "can I at least get a refund for the 5 months I won't use?" Their reply was too bad you missed the cut off. I had to pay for a system that my mom refused to use. It sat in the box so I sent it back. If anyone is going to buy this please only go with a month at a time otherwise you will not be able to get a refund. They made $150 off me and never even used it! They also didn't even try to refund some of it. If and when my mom is ready I will not use this company. Wendy Ouellette Order number 4G028926

So comforting to know that when I am alone in my home, someone is just a push of a button aware should I need help. We had another company but switched and am very glad we did.

Poor customer service.... Equipment failed when I fell GPS equipment failed to read my location When I tried to do a test, Bay Alarm sent fire dept, ambulance and called my contact instead of asking me if I was hurt.

My Aunt has used this service on 3 occasions in the past 2 months since we signed up. They have been fantastic with calling me and letting me know that she had pushed 'the button' for help and that the paramedics were with her. They also advise what the situation was, to the best of their ability based on what my Aunt told them was the reason for her call. Set up was super easy and using this is also very simple. I would recommend this company to everyone. And also they have the best plan rates, cancellation policy etc. This brings such peace of mind to both the person who needs this, as well as the caregiver. :)

I have been using the medical alarm for only a short time. I accidentally set it off one day and was pleased with the quick response, asking if help was needed. Only after I assured the caller that all was well, was the contact disconnected.
