Explanation of 4 star. Want to be clear that a rating of a service that I have had less than a month and have yet to use is nearly meaningless. I am expecting them to be 4 or better but can not say that till tested.

Excellent technical and customer service, but inferior hardware. All of my interactions withe the Bay Medical team were outstanding. High quality for tech support, customer service, and the emergency response team. However, the call box has to be reset after an outbound call. The reset button is tiny, and on the back side of the device. Far less than ideal for a very old person to find and press.

This is just what I need and I'm happy with it.

Response was a little slow and seemed unsure. Response didn't give any specific info about who was coming or what kind of help was available.

Overall, my experience was positive. The Customer Service Rep had a hard time understanding what a carport is. Once that was clarified, everything else was great.

Honestly, so far I have NOT had to use Bay Alarm, but purchasing and in talking with the gentleman over the phone it was a very positive experience. I will let you know if and when I ever have to use Bay Alarm Medical.

This company is low cost. It is very easy to sign up online. I received the equipment as promised. It worked as designed. I purchased this service for my mother, (69). She moved in to our home so we could take care of her. She had complications that made it risky for her to walk, take a bath, etc. She went on hospice shortly after we received the unit. It got tested one night at 2 AM. When Bay Alarm Medical could not reach my wife or myself, they called 911. The firemen woke us up. It turns out she accidentally set it off, and didn't hear the operator call her. It was good to know the system worked. Unfortunately, my mother passed within weeks of getting the service. Bay Alarm Medical terminated the service effective the day of her death. My moderate rating is more related to the less than stellar customer service. I had numerous unanswered emails I sent to their customer service group. Instead of charging the final charges to my credit card, I received a bill in the mail. It was somewhat difficult to cancel the service.

To be honest I purchased the system 2 months ago but I have not set it up as yet. For that reason I gave it a only 3 star rating. I am 86 but I have not retired. I have been traveling giving a lecture series or tour. I live alone and I do feel that I definitely need the system. If I have any questions will there be someone that can help me?
