Ryan Russo went far above and beyond to make my experience a good one! I was very upset walking into the store but after working with Ryan he was able to take care of everything professionally.
His professionalism should be recognized.

Unbelievable customer support
Unbelievable customer support
I bought 5 Duracell Ultra SLC10005 battery chargers from Battery plus Bulbs in early Jan of 2020. I did what i thought was thorough product review before the purchase.
I needed these to maintain the starting batteries on 5 remote generators in the desert of AZ, each hours away from each other and major towns.
The user manual wasn't great but a trickle charger isn't that complicated. 5 days after these were installed these batteries being protected were showing voltages from 10 V to 3 V.
Again Tech support said these are plug and play. By disconnecting the chargers and reconnecting 4 of 5 chargers started charging again.
Being sceptical we checked them again 4 days later sure enough the chargers quit charging, again disconnect and reconnect they started charging again.
During this process I reached out to battery plus for tech support, they didn't even try to read the user manual or troubleshoot the chargers, so i contacted Duracell only to find that these aren't even Duracell (talk about False advertisement) but were made by a company Called NOCO who hung up on our tech support requests.
Again every lead was followed to the end to no resolution. No one tried to troubleshoot or discuss settings or application, until coming full circle back to battery plus whom has tech support on a special line they couldn't give directly to us. However our issue was relayed through someone on the phone who was emailing someone who had the answers.
The last one asked us to bring the faulty charger in to the store so they could have one of there experienced technicians see if the charger was faulty.
The resolve I was told by 2 different support techs on 2 different occasions that we must have faulty chargers, and to return them to the store to exchange them, again no confirming settings or modes or color of LED lights. Just pass problem onto next moron. (that ended up being Me)
All this took place in a 2 week time frame in Jan of 2020.
All 5 in AZ desert 700 miles between these sites.
I have been owner of Andersen Electric for 20 yrs, we do generators and critical power systems all over the country. This was a one off because we needed a separate trickle charger (battery Tender) I am blown away at how this world is deteriorating. Nobody cares anymore about helping customers or making a product that functions the way its advertised.
Im 53 yrs old and for the most part very optimistic but I'm seeing our country being destroyed by the upcoming generations of WIIFM's (Whats in it for me). They wont have a clue how to keep what we've worked so hard to build.
Thanks for letting me Vent

battery chain full of liars
I went into the store to buy a motorcycle battery. The service was quick and effective. Upon returning home I discovered they sold me a defective battery. I spent several days testing it at home before going back to the store (just to make sure it was the battery).
The store said they would test it and call me the next day; which they did. They stated that the battery was good and charged. I told them to take it off the trickle charger for 24hrs and re test.
I called them the next day and they restested the battery, only for it to fail inspection (reading 12.3V; a healthy battery should be 12.8V). In order to get a new battery under their warranty they need managerial approval and he was out for the day.
I call back the next day (about a week has passed at this point of phone "ping pong"). The amanger tells me my battery is fine and reading great on the multimetert (12.7V). I knew this was a lie as a battery cannot gain charge and called him out over the phone.
In all I ended up bringing my receipt back to the store and demanding a refund instead of a new battery under their warranty. Ended up finding a batter battery (name brand) on amazon for $50 instead of theirs for $70.
NEVER. AGAIN. (take my warning)

Took IPhone 7 Plus in to have battery…
Took IPhone 7 Plus in to have battery replaced. At the time the battery health was at 70 % needing serviced. Had to wait a full day because they had no batteries. After picking Phone up discovered battery health was still at 70%, as if the battery had not been changed. (Which I believe is the fact). Took back to store again, once again no battery was available. Left phone at store overnight, was told battery was being brought from another store by the manager. The following day I went to pick up phone and battery had not been changed. Asked for a refund and was told they would have to put original battery in. After hunting for some time for the battery, it was finally put back in. Received my refund. After powering up phone discovered phone battery health was at 81%. No way this was my original battery. What a scam. Will NEVER enter another Batteries Plus or recommend them.

Abominable Battery Replacement Service – iPhone up in Flames (Urbandale, IA)...
I set an appointment at the Urbandale, Iowa Batteries Plus Bulbs location to have the battery changed on my iPhone, dropping it off for service by the experienced tech. When we returned 20 minutes later, he was watching a less experienced tech attempt to pry the battery out of the phone. Before our eyes, loud hissing, and flames engulfed our phone. Acrid smoke filled the store. There was no apology forthcoming from either the employee or the manager; ultimately we stood around the store the next two hours while they phoned around to various stores around the area looking for a replacement phone. We were left unattended for 20 minute stretches at a time, and were forced to specifically ask for very occasional updates.
Management repeatedly misled us about the replacement phone, claiming they were ordering a new phone. When pressed to send us the order info, it was clearly a cheaper refurbished phone he had ordered. We felt pressured to accept a used replacement phone that might certainly have issues, or might even have inferior aftermarket parts installed given the price point. Given the lost trust, we took the payout and ran, but their payout fell dismally short of the true value of the phone we needed to replace. Their manager likes the phrase “we’ll make it right”, but we certainly don’t feel he lived up to the phrase. Fat chance getting a loaner phone – the one they offered was faulty, and I was worried about getting financially tagged for its problems if I accepted it.
Their price point for replacing iPhone batteries is lower than Apple’s, but I strongly recommend you reconsider the risk versus the savings. I wish I had.

Wish I could give ZERO stars
Wish I could give ZERO stars, this place is a RIPOFF!!! Bought a battery 5 months ago, suddenly it won’t hold a charge. I bring it in, they tell me they’ll test it and call me back. After a week and no call I go back to the store. Get told ‘sorry, it won’t hold a charge’. No kidding? That’s why I brought it in! So, do I get a replacement under their ‘full replacement warranty’? Nope. Sorry, defective isn’t covered. We can sell you another one. HA! Yeah, I’m gonna give you more money to screw me again? Don’t think so! Plus they will lose more business from me telling this story to everyone than that replacement would have cost, by far.
NAPA and Walmart, and every other place will either replace or pro rate a defective battery.
AVOID THIS SLEAZY COMPANY!
