We don't know if the best attribute of Basic Talk is the ability to take it with us wherever we go or the low price. The sound is exceptionally clear, even on our older cordless phones. Normally we are very hesitant promoting products to our relatives, but we have recommended this service to family members. In the 9 months we have used Basic Talk we have been very satisfied.

I've used VOIP home phone service since I first knew about it in 2005 or 2006. Average of about 1/10th the cost of home telephone service from a landline provider. Many just use a cell phone only, but I prefer at home to have a telephone in each room for convenience. Basic Talk by far, is the winner! Best price, super easy setup, easy billing, and the best you could ever buy. How does roughly $10 per month sound to you for home telephone service?

Overall, the experience I have had with BasicTalk is fantastic. At $13.99 a month (State Taxes included) it cannot be beat. Unlimited minutes allow me to talk to friends, family, and loved ones without the worry of going over minutes. There have been times I have went over 1500 minutes with no issues. The call quality is quite clear, and the only problems I have ever encountered with the service have always been Internet Provider issues. Voicemail ensures I never miss a call, even if my internet is down. I can simply log in to my BasicTalk account and listen to the messages from any PC, anywhere. 5 stars!! As one caveat, I would like to see the addition of text-to-BasicTalk service. It would be very useful to be able to receive text messages via the website of BasicTalk, and be able to respond via the same website.
