Disrespectful cremation practice
On 9/9/2020, my son and I said goodbye to our 15 year old American Eskimo (dog). We selected the box for her ashes and paid for a private cremation. On 9/15/2020 when her ashes were returned to me, they were in a box that had NO identification whatsoever. There was no name plate or anything to respectfully memorialize our beloved pet. I called Banfield and was told the new service they were using did not provide name plates for the boxes that house the pet's remains. Next I called the company that actually did the cremation and was informed that they provide brass name plates for all of their customers EXCEPT for Banfield. They said that Banfield did not want brass name plates provided for their customers. Banfield's decision to omit this is HIGHLY DISRESPECTFUL to a beloved family member. If I could give Banfield ZERO stars for how they handled this cremation, I would.
