Professional Services Fee? Or was I scammed?
I am in the US on vacation and had to get a travel certificate for my pet. I went to a local Banfield because having previously lived in the US, I already had an account with Banfield. The doctor I saw was nice and very thorough, but I do believe she overcharged me for the paperwork. I have gone to various Banfields and have NEVER been charged a "professional fee". This one charged me $225 dollars for 45 min worth of paperwork. In addiiton, she made me send all the documents to myself via overnight delivery because she claimed she wasn't able to email me the documents as she had to print them out and sign them. That was an additional $40. Imagine my surprise when I received the documents and her signature and the USDA embossment were FILED ELECTRONICALLY. But yet, she claimed they couldn't be scanned and emailed. She claimed it's a system thing but I don't trust this particular division. I will retract my review if someone from Banfield can confirm that a professional services fee is indeed legit (isn't this something that should be included in their salary?) I will really retract if I am refunded the fee and the $40 for the overnight delivery. Very disappointed. 2 stars for timeliness.
