Let me just start by saying I was between BAC and Hard Head Veterans for choosing a helmet and was a bit weary with all the negative reviews here. But I decided to go out on a limb and order from Ballistic with their new CEO change. I want to say they did right by this and also included a $100 voucher as well. I ordered the Gen 2 helmet and received it within a week (I live in the Midwest). Helmet looks and feels great and what sold me on this over HHV was the padding, winch system on the back, and the arc rails. I couldn’t be happier though I wish there was more slack in the lowest chin strap (maybe I just have a longer jawline?). I do think the arc rails and helmet shroud pieces might feel a bit plastic-y but I have yet to test them out. For $500ish dollars it can’t be beat compared to $1000 ops cores or going down the modified ACH grey market route.

I actually had a good experience with this company. I ordered my Gen 2 Helmet on a Thursday and it showed up on a Tuesday morning a few days later. I had a question about a tracking number and they had a response within a few hours so the communication is there. There are several reviews prior to this that have negative things to say but this company changed CEOs and it yielded a much better result.

Nice helmet packed with features and very comfortable. Im not shooting mine but the reviews are decent. Dont expect it to stop rifle rounds but 9mm with almost no backface deformation is good. Yeah it will stop a .44 magnum but it will rock your head from your shoulders. All and all it does what a 3a helmet will do and at a nice price.
