I am a civilian and a retired physician. However, I recognize the possible need for body armor even if it is for a very remote circumstance. I know of one health care worker, a surgeon who was fatally shot due to revenge gang violence (for saving a rival gang member). I purchased their IIIA armor and found it easy to size and at a reasonable cost. It gives me peace of mind that if a group tries to rob my home ( they come in threes now even to the best neighborhoods), I can put this on quickly and still have time to get to my firearms. Customer service is good and they get back to you quickly. If you make a mistake in sizing they say you can exchange it. I did not need to, and found their sizing system to be very accurate.

Called Customer service and was told by their records my shipment was out for delivery. Never came. Called customer service again the next day and was given the tracking number this time. Out for delivery, again.. Seems my shipment was put on the wrong route the previous day according to the USPS worker. Busy time for the USPS. I understand but Ballistic Armor Co. has great customer service in my opinion. Very helpful. I will use this company again for other things after the first of the year.
