Would give no stars if possible. This website has no landlord accountability. Assume the landlord is a scam unless you have verbally talked with him/her. I tried reaching out to Customer Service after being invited to apply then totally ghosted. Customer service was difficult, unwilling to attempt to contact the landlord, and refused to refund my money. 6 weeks later, the landlord suggested I apply for a different apartment. I would not utilize this “service” again.

According to our records, the landlord in question successfully completed identity verification and provided proof of possession -- it would seem as though any lapse in communication here was at the discretion of the homeowner.
