New Experience - Learning on the Job
New to hearing aids, saw AAP promoted on CBS. Researched on my own, opted to try AAP2, step up, special offer, reasonably priced. Received two days ago, couple hour experiment that night, first attempt lot of fumbling, old dog, new trick, but working better than expected. Used couple hours yesterday morning, several hours later last night, more fumbling as I searched for settings that would minimize the new sensations like somewhat distant actions being greatly amplified . Fourth round this morning, still getting used to amplified sounds and occasional chirps or squeals, but settling into an acceptable routine. Turned the TV volume down, played with volume and mode settings on AAP2 to get most desirable result. Still a work in progress, but with a little help from my friends, particularly Carmie and Sophia, experience favorable and seemingly getting better use by use.
