AT&T Fiber Storm Recovery
AT&T Fiber Storm Recovery: Poor Communication and Unacceptable Delays I’m extremely disappointed with AT&T Fiber’s response following the recent storm. Power and water have been restored, yet some customers are still without internet service, with no meaningful updates or clear timeline for repairs. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that surrounding neighbors have had their internet service restored, while a select few of us remain without service. There are no visible technicians addressing the outstanding issues, no communication explaining the delays, and no indication of when service will be restored. I understand that severe weather can cause damage and that repairs take time. However, customers deserve transparency, communication, and reassurance that their issues are being addressed. Leaving customers without service for an extended period while providing no updates or estimated restoration time is unacceptable. AT&T needs to take responsibility for these unresolved outages, communicate directly with affected customers, and provide realistic timelines for repairs. When most surrounding homes have service, the remaining outages should be identified, investigated, and addressed with urgency. This is not just about an internet outage; it’s about the lack of communication, accountability, and customer service. AT&T Fiber needs to do better and provide answers to the customers who are still waiting for their service to be restored.
