DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, EVER!!! Absolutely Terrible/Horrible customer service, zero knowledge of what they are doing. This is a government phone for low income people, the phones they send are garbage. Apparently, they don’t give a dam about service and the phone they are offering, because they have 1 star reviews and hundreds of complaints on line. I have spent hours and hours everyday since end of May, they are clueless, they promise the world, took $40.00 from me for a phone I returned in their pre-paid package and they can’t find it in their warehouse and I am still 40.00 and out a phone for my son. Assurance wireless failed to fulfill all requests waiting time is exuberantly long over an hour most times. Escalations are not taken seriously. Zero contact was made by administration. By far the worst wireless customer service. You can barely understand any of them. 0 star....horrible, ignorant and useless representatives!

I've been with Assurance Wireless for 1 years and the service has declined 90%. The information on the website is misleading. For instance I wanted to swap my phone from the inferior quality "UMX 693CL" Android provided by Assurance (I had purchased a "Motorola E5 Play" from Assurance that did not fully work with the service). I purchased an unlocked "iphone 6s Plus" which is on Assurance's list of compatible phones to upgrade to. However, when I attempted to activate the phone (using the correct MEID) I was told by the customer service representative the phone was incompatible with Assurance Wireless. I then tried to revert back to the "Motorola e5 Play" I had purchased from Assurance Wireless, the customer service representative told me the phone I had used for nearly 2 years previously was incompatible and could not be activated. Additionally, the Assurance Wireless website says new phones can be "swapped/upgraded" by phone or via the website. The website option does not work and many times the "Assurance Wireless" website is inaccessible with "HTTP 400 & 500" errors. To sum it up, I've wasted a lot of money buying so-called compatible phones that are supposed to work with Assurance Wireless, but the company doesn't provide the services it advertises. Hopefully they will improve very soon or lose a lot of customers.

Their free cellphones are not quality. China Android Shock phones poor call quality. They once had quality phones and internet service. Nice customer service. They make you buy a $25 phone after a third request for a new cellphone. Seems like TMobile lacks a quality control. Sprint was better. Since the pandemic , now inflation all customer service and product reliability on most brands and products have gone down in quality. Assurance gets phone supplies from Columbia.

They turned my service off for no reason. I mailed in the phone that is broken within a timely matter. Also, their customer service is less than adequate.

Assurance wireless capped me at 2G . It took 3 minutes just to get this page to open up. I cant even get images to open up let alone play any games or watch videos. It's a complete waist of time this joke they call internet. No human deserves this slower then slow wireless data I don't care how low of income they have . It's an insult. This 2G data we end up with is laughable . I do not recommend this low income free phone plan.
