I just want to say that I am very grateful for the lifeline program. Assurance wireless has been....overall, not bad. The customer service people, for the most part, seem competent,.scripted, but so so. My issue is with the problems you face trying to upgrade your phone. Not free either. I'm perfectly willing , and did, pay for what was promised to be an upgraded phone. Even though a description couldn't be provided. Luck of the draw type thing. So, I end up spending $70 on my Deb card for what turned out to be the same exact phone I already had. Now, it's not a bad phone, for free. It has issues though, ergo, my unenthusiastic expenditure to acquire better. So I call customer service, relay the problem and am told I won't be able to upgrade. Now I'm going thru, waiting to go thru, the refund process. So, the Schok SV55 is the apex of this companies product list. I was hoping that T-Mobile coming onboard would up the upgrades, but alas, no. And teasing about an online store to shop for a phone is just cruel. So, adequate to poor phones with no shot of upgrading is kind of sad. People say you get what you pay for, but I can't even pay for it either .
