The install of the Ameriglide Rave2 stairlift went smoothly. I enjoyed putting it together. One weak point in the instructions i will mention is step 2 of "chassis installation". I found the one photo, Figure 4-15, difficult to interpret. It looked like there was a curved plastic cup of some sort under the chassis just above the top of the landing. It wasn't until I looked at the photo upside down that the curved edge of the "cup" was actually a wire lead. I would reshoot this photo for the instruction brochure. Also, because the chassis is quite heavy and has no really good hand-holds which don't put the installer's fingers in jeopardy when sliding it onto the rail, I devised an easier and safer method. I measured how high the lower edge of the upper end of the rail was above the upper landing, in my case 8 inches. I then stacked large books 8 inches high on the landing at the end of the rail. I set the chassis onto the books and maneuvered it so that the bottom edge of the railing was positioned just opposite the opening in the chassis into which the rail inserts, then simply slid the chassis onto the railing, supporting the back end of the chassis in the process. With this method, other than when placing the chassis onto the book stack it isn't necessary to support the entire weight of the chassis during installation onto the rail. One other suggestion. Under "FINAL RAIL INSTALLATION", Step 5 (installing the end plate), the plate is installed using 4 self-cutting Torx screws. Even using grease on the screws I did not have enough strength to screw those suckers all the way in. I wound up getting an appropriate size tap and cutting threads most of the way into the holes before attaching the end plate with the screws. This was far easier, and the screws are plenty tight. I would suggest these holes be tapped at the factory. All in all, I found this stairlift to be an amazingly well engineered product with parts that fit amazingly well. It was a pleasure to install.

Timothy Worley was a very good rep. He did a fantastic job in selling me the lift chair. He explained everything to me and helped me pick out the one suitable for me. He answered all me questions and made suggestions to me that helped in purchasing the chair. I am glad I got him as a rep.

The company is very fast in wanting a review but the items are not here yet. I was told the items are in stock, would be prepared, packaged, and shipped on the next business day. When not shipped after 2 business days, I called and was told they were going out that day (third business day). I contacted them on business day 3 by email - no response received. In fact, 2 of the 3 packages were shipped on business day 4. I understand delays and backlogs but they should not promise what they knowingly cannot deliver. Not answering status requests is also something that is inexcusable. I hope the product quality for which I cannot at this time address as the items are not received is far better than their promised deliveries and failure to answer. Also they processed my credit card when ordered when shipment was days later; legally you cannot charge the credit card until item was shipped. They have a lot of administrative issues to address.

I bought the Rave 2 chair lift and couldn't believe how well made it is - very impressive! I installed it in about a day and a half and it works great. One small piece was damaged and had no problems getting a replacement part. Ver satisfied.
