I referred my son. He was 4 minutes late and they cancelled his appointment after waiting 2 weeks to get one. When I said I will be giving a bad review. They said OK. Guess the 2.5 star rating is ok with them. To many other options out there to be treated this way.

I purchase a $90 dollar pair of glasses and within three weeks one of the lens fell out. I was able to place it back into the glasses. Then within 6 weeks I simply put on a hoodie and the wire frame came out and my glasses were useless. These are America's Worst Glasses, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Location: Howell Mill Road Atlanta Georgia 30318 Manager Terri Associate Octavia Terrible customer service to the point that Terri the manger just walked away from me without answering my question. She went into her office and close the door in my face. My eyeglasses broke and Terri told me that she couldn’t help me. I asked her repeatedly if she could put me in contact with her area/district manager. She never answered my question, just closed her office door in my face while I was talking. After I paid over $600 dollars on my glasses! Please avoid American Best like a plague. This is the third time I had issues with the same glasses. Save yourself stress and go to Lens Crafters. I took my glasses to Lens Crafters, even though I didn’t buy my glasses from them and they tried to repair them knowing that I didn’t buy the glasses from them. The young lady at lens crafters suggested that I go to a booth in Greenbriar Mall, which I did. The young man at the Sun Shade booth in the middle of the mall repaired my glasses for $10! American Best Is The worse place you can buy eye glasses. Save yourself pain, money and regret. Try Lens Crafters

Positives: Very affordable, good frame selection with some frames clearance-priced even cheaper. Staff is friendly and helpful though not very experienced. Cons: Any specialized request will incur an upcharge, including (in my case) a request to polish the lens edges, usually a standard practice. I have a high-minus (thick) prescription and requested that the lens be mounted in the frame such that the thick lens is mostly behind the frame as opposed to in front of the frame (an industry standard if not a simple request that I've made elsewhere for decades) only to have the manager tell me that this was not possible (?!) at America's Best. Use this business for your emergency pair of glasses or other un-critical eyeglass needs.

I went into the W NW Hwy Store in Dallas because I was fairly sure that a new prescription that I had gotten at another eyewear center was not as it was written and they were very expensive. Julie stepped up to help me and provided a printout of the eyeglasses that I was wearing which confirmed my suspicion. It's employees like this who would help someone who is not even their customer who brings people back to purchase from you. I'll be back as a customer and will tell others.

another nightmare ! went in when they opened at 9:00am. Told the clerk I've been here before and just need some new frames and lenses here's the prescription. OK go ahead. After about fifteen pick out two frame just in case the BOGO deal is good however this frame is #1. "I'm sorry sir our optometry specialist doesn't come in until 10:00am. You open @ 9:00am but can't do business until 10:00? I go get a cup of coffee and come back @ 0:580am and wait until 10:10 and the specialist no shows but good the district manager comes in, Tom. I tell the clerk let me just but the $79.99 frames and I'll be on my way. Oh I can't do that.. What. DM Tom can you all just ring these up? Yes but we need the specialist to do it. You don't know how? No. But sir you are the district mgr and you don't know the operations of the stores you manage? Correct. Wow! Wll here's the frames, at least we tried. This is the 2nd time in a month I've had horrible service, once @ my Eye Lab and now Americans best. I think the mass eyeglass shops business model do not work anymore, Advice to shoppers, make sure to read all reviews before going to either one of these eyeglass stores.

I have used them for 7 years and been happy. I especially want to point some specific help that I received from a general manager named Aenise Wyatt out of Lewisville TX. Not only was she very friendly, professional, and upbeat, but was able to save me a considerable amount of money and I believe gave excellent customer service.

I went in to get glasses for the first time in my life. They were really friendly and hospitable. Doctor was great and fast. They had top notch machines and even showed me what the inside of my eyes looked like. Would definitely recommend.
