Paige Jones at the Fairview Heights, Illinois America’s Best location provided excellent and courteous service while fitting my glasses.
Upon arrival at the America’s Best location I received a friendly greeting and then quickly seated. I was then greeted by Paige Jones who located my order and got me fitted. I’m very happy with my new glasses and how much better things look.

This is my 3rd time....never again.
This is my 3rd time. The first 2 were problems with tinting my lenses the way I have had others do it correctly. But wherever they send them to have that done, those people are not skilled in tinting. Regardless, thought I would give them another try at the Sewell, NJ location. They apparently don't call you when your glasses are ready. I called in 3 1/2 weeks and my 2 pair glasses were there. Went to get them. Two people were ahead of me. Finally, the desk person handed me the everyday pair which should have had a whisper of gray tint over the lens. I could see they were dark at the top and almost clear at the bottom and knew they were wrong. Tried them on. The tech asked how they were. I said, the tint is totally wrong and should those cars just outside your doors (about 30' away) be clear for me to see? He said yes. I said...well they are blurry. In fact, some people in this room are blurry. The other pair were sunglasses and I didn't try those on. The tech left me and then returned with the glasses and said, these are the wrong prescription. They have to be redone. So I have no idea what to expect but after reading reviews I should have stayed away from here. I wear a triple lens.....distance at the top, a bifocal circle at the bottom, and a strip cut into the middle of the lens for middle vision. I should have known this wouldn't be good. When I came to the first visit for my exam, and selecting frames, and being measured for my triple lens, I was suspicious of the exam sequence. A young man checked my eyes for sight and for diseases of the eyes. I thought I was all done but he said I then would see the doctor?? Finally I was led to the doc who literally seemed to be the oddest 'professional' I have ever seen. He did nothing but walk around as if he was just thinking. Never saw anything like this strange behavior. The first younger man came back in and said I could leave now.....with no explanation. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE would be my advice. All 3 visits were in this store over a period of several years. I seriously doubt the glasses will be right whenever I get them. But if they are, I will certainly add another review to be fair even though I won't be back. LC

Terrible customer service.
My wife had a bad experience with Lasik Plus, and needed glasses to get her through the next 5 weeks until the corrective lasik procedure could be scheduled. The plan was to get the frames, then go to a store that made lenses in about 1 hour because she was nauseated due to the poor vision. She found a set of frames that she liked at "America's Best" stores, but none were in stock at that location. After waiting in line at that place, I was told that another one about 10 miles away (Southlake, Tx) did have them and they would be waiting for us, so I went there. I was asked to have a seat. After about 10 minutes, I flagged down the person behind the counter. She took the glasses out of the drawer and put them at the back of the line behind a couple of other people that came in well after I did. I was told to go to the waiting room.
46 minutes later, I went back up front and communicated my disappointment at the Excessive Wait. Though they were not that busy, the excuse was being short staffed. She looked through the bin that held the folders that represented the few waiting people and their place in line, and said I was next in line. The store manager was the next person free for me to pay for the frames, so I sat down across the desk from her. She did not say a word, got up, and chose what appeared to be the folder behind mine in the bin, called the people from the waiting room, and had them sit at another table for her to wait on them, while leaving me sitting at the desk she had been working at.
Either the woman l spoke with lied about me being next, or the manager blatantly took someone else ahead of me. In any event, 52 minutes into waiting to for a 2 to 4 minute task to pay for some frames, I was D-O-N-E. Even when they are not excessively busy, clearly they have too many customers to take care of in an efficient way. This experience made it too late for me to get the frames elsewhere and get to the 1 hour lens making place in time for them to make the lenses, since it was already 4PM. My wife will be nauseated for at least another day as a result. I will never darken the doors of any so called "America's Best" stores again under any circumstances. If this is the "Best" they can do, I don't need the frustration and wasted time, or to deal with overtly rude people or those that lie on her behalf. I don't believe in rewarding what is among the sorriest excuses of customer service that I have had in a very, very long time, and I hope you won't either. I will be spreading the word on this experience for quite some time to come.

DO NOT GO TO AMERICA’S BEST
DO NOT GO TO AMERICA’S BEST
I went to America’s Best in Raleigh to have my glasses readjusted. I just spent $428 for glasses for my daughter. The person that assisted me broke my glasses. She glued them back together and said they would be ok. They’re not ok. The glue did not fix them. These are bifocals and cost a lot of money. I can’t wear them because the part broke is the part that rests on top of my ears. She was the store manager and she offered me no compensation. She offered NOTHING!

Horrible Customer Service
If you want to be treated with disrespect by people who don't care about eye vision or customer service, America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses is the company for you.

Liked staff
Liked staff. Professional. Eye Doctor on staff for exam. Good selection. Fair prices.
Hated Pride promotion. Totally unnecessary. Offended me and my family and half the population.

Montgomery Village- DON'T GO!
My visit to the Montgomery Village, Md location has to be the worst customer service experience of my life. The experiences with the pre-screen and doctor were both fine but it all went very bad with an incredibly rude and entitled employee selling frames. The employee continually lied about pricing and couldn't explain the price breakdown for frames, lenses, extras, etc. The manager had to get involved and the employee basically called my minor daughter and me liars when we questioned the ever changing prices she gave us. The employee threw papers at us and stormed away. I decided to leave immediately and the manager slow rolled letting us pay for an exam and became incredibly rude. This is by no means the worst part of my visit to this location.
I cannot give this location a low enough review.

Ask for Mary!
We had a great experience at the Main St. Suffolk, VA location. Major shout outs to Mary Veldkamp! She was excellent and so helpful and friendly! My son had never had his prescription right before this appointment and he wouldn't wear his glasses. Now he loves them. My daughter was really happy with her new glasses as well and my husband finally got his contact prescription renewed and corrected. I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the people there. Thanks Mary!
