I wish there was a zero star choice
I wish there was a zero star choice. The past two eye glass purchases, in the past two years, never gave me corrected vision. Just recently with several times of going back to give a chance for them to get things right it never happened. My glasses still are not correct. I them purchased contacts and those too are not for my vision that the eye doctor had put down. They just want to keep bringing back in and in several months nothing has changed when I go in. The last call o had the lady told me that she would refund my contacts and that I could keep them and also refund the 3 year plan that I had purchased. But no… she calls today9/24 and says it would be only $100 dollars that they could refund and that I’d have to come up in the store for that to happen. Every time I went in that place from my initial visit this year I was not given one on one treatment as I saw others receiving. I was sat at the center area and who I had every time had several other jobs that seemed as if she was responsible to have to do. Answer phones, greet customers coming in and going to the outer desk to even help customers they had. The first person I had to help make sure my order was right because she kept trying to put a pair of glasses in that I had told her over and over that I didn’t want those. Finally after over an hour my order was in and I still didn’t feel secure with what was done but she assured me it was right. When my order arrived I went in and sure enough my order was my old prescription from last year. I spent over another hour waiting for that to get put in. I then go back to pick up my glasses and they were not right but was told I needed to get use to them so I went home for over the weekend and had to go back because I definitely was not going to get use to the glasses. I had an appointment to see the doctor but the lady who was asking all these questions said she was just as good as the dr on getting the results right and if she could keep me from seeing the doctor that was her goal. She brought out some contraction eye gear to check my sight. I kept saying I guess that works and it went from there. Supposedly she was sure it would work. That order was put in. I still had not received my contracts. My glasses came in and go get them and the vision is better but still not seeing distance is which I needed and I couldn’t see 3 ft in front of me. I stated this and of course I was told you just need tho get use to them. I was done at this point. I walked out and made the statement, hopefully I be able to watch tv with them. I tried to wear them driving but it’s more of a hazard for me to wear them behind the wheel of the car than to keep trying. Soooo… I get my contacts in and that too was not my prescription the dr put in, it’s my last time I was checked prescription. I call to let them know and they said it’s the right one that that’s the only one they can give me for the type of contacts I want. I told her no one said this because I kept asking is this my recent eye exams prescription and they said yes. But no, I will never go back to that Americas Best ever again. I’m now looking for another place to spend my money. I spent $600 + and still can’t see correctly. It was a very aggravating and time consuming experience for me. It shouldn’t have been this complicated if everyone in there was trained properly. What a chaotic business in Aiken SC. July to September.
