I apologize that you were unhappy with the process. It is not uncommon for people to feel policies shouldn't apply to them, but I assure you that this is not designed to take advantage of anyone. Every vehicle we rent out is individually owned. We are under contract with these vehicle owners. Our business lives and dies by scheduling. In most rental businesses, cancellation policies apply. We happen to have one of the most reasonable and flexible policies in the industry. Cancelling within 90 days of your departure, $100 is forfeited. Cancelling within 30 days of your departure, $200 is forfeited. As a courtesy, we allow you to reschedule for ANY future date without penalty.

Mrs. Gonzales, I apologize that you had some issues on the trip. When traveling 1,900+ miles, things can occur; although, we do everything we can to not only prepare you but to prevent issues where possible. It appears that a loose piece of trim on the exterior of the vehicle and flat tire were the main issues. All of our vehicle tires are thoroughly inspected and properly filled with the required air pressure prior to departure. We do this not only for the safety of our customers, but also to prevent all of the problems that may arise from a blowout or tire failure during a trip. The costs incurred on the road, for both tires and assistance, are often far more expensive than that of a proper inspection and/or replacement of a tire while here on the lot. The last thing we would want is to have you or any of our customers upset or delayed due to oversight on our part. The tires were inspected by our local tire center at the time of the tire patch being completed and deemed roadworthy and safe. I don't feel that the flat you experienced at the end of your trip was due to oversight on our part. Your account shows that 898 additional miles were deducted from your deposit which resulted in only a partial deposit refund. No other withholding occurred. Your business is much appreciated.

I would like to first apologize for the inconvenience you suffered with the motor home. It is always our hope that every customer go and come with nothing but fun in between. Unfortunately, as with all things mechanical, this isn’t always the case. I understand that slide out issues can be disconcerting as well as frustrating. Your cooperation out on the road with the technician(s) was appreciated. Seeing as this system left here in good working order, functioning as designed, I don't feel that the failure was due to oversight on our part. Having said that, one of the two technicians that looked at the slide indicated that the unit was found off of the jacks which could have led to unnecessary binding of the full length wall slide. Regardless of how it occurred, I feel that once the issue was brought to our attention, we made every possible effort to help resolve the issue including multiple attempts to setup service. Once our appointments for repair at qualified and authorized dealers were declined, it is difficult to accept further responsibility. When dealing with specialty systems such as slide outs, especially in northern, rural United States, it is critical that opportunities for repair, not one, but two be accepted to avoid further inconvenience. However, reimbursement of on the road expenses was indeed issued in check form and a future credit up to $1,000.00 was also extended. Your business is much appreciated and we welcome the opportunity to make it right for you. Our inventory has changed significantly since 2016. Come back and see us.

Mr. Bueno, First and foremost, thank you for coming back to us for another RV adventure. I'd like to apologize for the experience that you have had with some of the systems in the 2018 Thor Citation 24 RS. This is one of the newest units to our fleet with a lot of cool gadgets other vehicles don't have, which makes this unit unique to our rental fleet. With that in mind, it's important to us that the walk-thru given at the time of departure is as detailed as possible so that when you're out enjoying the RV, you can operate it just as if you owned it. We have provided the stove top induction manual online as an extra tool and we are working on getting the Citation's specific system differences into our universal rental unit handbooks. Interior propane gauges are often used as a loose guide. Because propane tanks are full at 3/4, to allow for expansion, the interior gauges often don't translate accurately. For true and accurate readings, it is always suggested to view the on-tank propane gauge. I understand the frustration with running out of propane and was glad that once refilled, allowed smooth operation of both the furnace and water heater. Your feedback is valuable to us and our growth. Thanks for continuing to share your RV memories with us.

Despite RVing not being for you, we appreciate you having given it a try and more importantly being fair in your review. Sometimes large trips for first-timers can be just as you said, overwhelming. If ever you have a need for a different type of RV usage, please keep us in mind. Consider a local golf tournament with the guys, a quick jaunt to the beach or nearby rivers/lakes or even a tailgating event for a football game. Thanks for your patronage.
