I returned last week from Adventures Across Iceland. What an awesome experience! Our tour guide, Gusti, was the best. Being raised and living in Iceland, he had the inside scoop on EVERYTHING. All he had to do was make a phone call! Accommodations were centrally located; I could walk through the towns and felt safe. The food was excellent and transportation was comfortable. It's a tour you should consider taking!

We just returned from this tour of Armenia and Georgia and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! These two ancient regions of the world have been extremely important for trade, conflict, power, and religious beliefs throughout the millennia. A & R has put together a trip with excellent guides that will enhance your understanding of this region while enjoying wonderful food and wine! While it was a great trip, the only negative we had was the hotel in Tbilisi. It did not reach the same standards as the other parts of the trip and there were many other choices in the same area of the city. However, overall, a definite 5 star for us!

Considering all the challenges that A+R had to overcome including last minute cancelled flights, Covid requirements, crossing international borders, etc. we are very pleased with our trip and want to commend A+R for your wonderful work.

My husband and I just returned home from our Journey to South Africa plus Victoria Falls trip. We also added on Chobe National Park. What an amazing adventure we experienced! We had left the airport and were on our way to our first lodge and our driver started slowing down and pointed over to the side of the road and there were 4 giraffes coming out from the wooded area to cross the road. We drove on about five minutes longer and a couple families of elephants began crossing the road in front of us. We picked our jaws up off the floor, and at that point, we knew we weren’t in Kansas anymore! We saw all of the Big 5 and were able to get so close to them on our safari adventures. All of our accommodations were top notch and had all the things you needed. They all had shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, so no need to lug your own, unless you are that attached to them. All of the places we stayed, also had a blow dryer. The food preparation and presentation was amazing, and there was no shortage of it. It seemed like every time you turned around, it was time to eat! You could tell the chefs loved there jobs and took pride in the food they made. All our guides were very knowledgeable and informative from telling us about animal behavior to historical events. All of the people whom we came in contact with were so accommodating and appreciative that we were there and happy to show us the beauty of Africa. This was our first time traveling with Alexander and Roberts and it won’t be our last! We appreciated how organized and easy the trip was made for us. There was alway someone there to pick us up and/or guide us through borders. We simply just set back and enjoyed the journey of a lifetime!!

Our Alexander and Roberts trip to see the Great Migration in Tanzania and the Gorillas of Rwanda was everything we hoped it would be. Scott and Diane Avera did all that could be done to make our journey great in the face of incessant Covid testing which was mandated by the various governments. The tented camps and hotels were excellent and the hospitality of their staff was exceptional. Our only negative was the Serena Hotel in Kigali. It was a beautiful property, but the food was sub-par and the air conditioner did not work during our stay despite calls to the front desk. The actual game drives and wildlife viewing, which were the focus of the trip, were incredible and we could not have asked for any better experience.

Awesome trip. Felt COVID safe. Amr Atef was superb as our Egyptologist guide. Dining and facilities all top notch. Everyone seemed to go out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction!!

We just returned from a delightful 5 person group tour to Morocco from the Sahara to the Sea which lasted 12 days. We had a wonderful guide Rchid who led us to appreciate the history, culture and food of this wonderful country. Yes we did ride on camels and see the sunset and Venus appear in the skies at the Merzouga Luxury Desert camp. Our favorite city was Marrakech where we stayed at the 5 star Le Madison Arabe. We enjoyed the kasbahs, medinas and souks. The 5 times daily calls today from the minarets by the muezzins underlined the zeal of the main Muslim faith. But Morocco is proud of the 500 year history of the Jewish people who found refuge from Spain. The Catholic Churches are full of joyful singing by sub Saharan countries. The cuisine and wines mix the French and Berber traditions. All of these things produced a beautiful mosaic of the country that is Morocco. It was one incredible trip.

My family of four just returned from a spectacular A + R Visions of Egypt vacation. Everything worked perfectly from Cairo and cruising down the Nile and all the flights and airports in between. Amr, our guide for the entire journey in Egypt made all the parts fit together and ran a truly wonderful educational trip. You need more like him!
