Purchased a ticket to fly just when Covid hit. My convention was cancelled and most attendees got refunds from airlines as well as hotels etc. not us. Alaska was the only airline refusing to refund even though our flight was canceled. When FAA mandated refunds for canceled flights, Alaska airlines had the gaul to double down and offer a credit good for a year which served us no value. When we booked, this airline had a decent rating. Looking at these reviews they’ve sunk. I encourage the people I was traveling with to give these creeps the horrible rating they deserve.

I WILL NEVER FLY WITH ALASKA AIRLINES AGAIN. They cancelled my connecting from Seattle to Pittsburgh without actually notifying me other than me happening to open the app to check the terminal gate and seeing it was canceled. They gave no reason and come to find out nearly 20 other flights leaving Seattle heading all over the country were also cancelled, all were Alaska airlines. Not to mention I’m flying with my elderly grandparents (both are 80+). From there I waiting in line for 3 hours to get to customer service trying to get them to schedule us a new flight. At about hour 2 I finally scheduled a flight to get us all home and then afterwards some one gave us a number to call to get assistance from Alaska airlines. After waiting through the entire wait time on the call I had an agent lectured me for 20 minutes on why I shouldn’t have purchased the tickets and should have waited for there assistance so they could schedule them for me. At this point I had lost all faith in the airline and was mad that they were telling me not book my own flight. They were not even attempting to get us booked on a new flight until lo after I called. Now the new flight is leaving over 24 hours later than when I would have gotten home and it’s another layover in Atlanta. I’m extremely annoyed because I need to get my grandparents home. The airline still has not given a good reason why the planes were canceled and have given extremely poor assistance with the entire thing. They have minimal staffing and seemly do not care for their customers at all. Every hotel in the city is booked solid and they are still closing the their Alaska lounges leaving my grandparents and I with no where to sleep. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life I do not recommend this airline to anyone.

Worst airline ever. Canceled my midnight flight at last minute with no way to get a room and left stranded at airport for 24 hours with no place to sleep and suffocating in my mask Sleep deprived and miserable and guess what. They don't give a damn.

Alaska Airlines issued me a travel credit when flights shut down after Covid hit in March 2020. When I called in March 2021 to ask about redeeming the credit, I was told I needed to call to book a flight directly with Alaska Airlines to use the credit. I called on June 6, 2020, to book a flight and received a message indicating any tickets booked on the phone would cost $15 extra compared to booking online and the wait time to speak with an agent would be between 3 hours, 47 minutes, and 5 hours, 41 minutes! I’ll try one more time on a weekday morning, and then give up my travel credit and book a flight with another airline. At that point, I would not do business with Alaska again!

They cancelled the flight because they did not have enough flight attendants. Seems like horrible planning. Then they made people wait there over an hour to reschedule a different flight and would not put people up in a hotel when they were required to stay the night. Furthermore, they never let people know how to collect their bags. Finally they gave us hotel vouchers for a flight the next day. They told us to get on a shuttle to take us to the hotel. When we got to the hotel the hotel did not recognize our vouchers and they said that they were full anyway. I then spent an hour on hold or speaking with someone at the Boise Idaho Alaska airline help line and the National help line and they said that I would have to call back in two days to receive any help. The incompetence of this airlines extend to all levels.

I will fly Alaska airlines again. Yesterday, June 4th my husband and I were directed to the incorrect gate which caused us to just barely miss our flight. When we got to the correct gate we were met with nothing but a negative attitude from the attendant. When I tried to go see about a different flight, the desk clerk refused to help me because I called the attendant at the desk a b**ch as I walked away. I assure you this women has earned the insult with how she had treated us. She offered no assistance or information in how to help me get on the next flight, or apologize for the mistake they made. But she made sure to call ahead to the ticket counter to tattle on me for my minor out burst of frustration with her so that they also wouldn’t help me. Also my tickets would be refunded on the stimulus card that I no longer had and was not replaceable. So when I called to explain this and asked if the refund could be put on a different card, they refused to work with me, and said credit towards a different flight was all that they could offer. 300 credits for 2 round trip tickets to New Mexico for a mistake they made and awful customer service. Beware!!! Never flight Alaska Airlines.

Here we go Alaska Airlines the flight was delayed an hour rerouted to Lax 5 hours later they lied said arrangements where made and when I get here they left me because the shuttle back to Santa Ana airport wasn’t ADA accessible!!! 😭And left me and my daughter at 2 in the morning. What the hell is wrong with you people??? Shame on Alaska AirlinesAlaska airlines I can’t stop crying I can’t stop how disregarded I am as a person as a human being because I’m in a wheelchair and my daughter got to experience that irritated and frustrated I’m in pain at still traveling between LA and Orange County just a wreckYour Ada wheelchair accessible policies need to be evaluated and update and accessible every hour that you are in operation period!!! no one should ever have to experienceAnd no one should ever be dehumanized in front of their children this is traumatic what I experience. the airlines to drop me off after I paid for my ticket safety security and assurance that I would receive aafe passage like everyone else and you failed this experience with Alaska airlines shame on you. Literally singling out the disabled person and her child and leaving them behind I’m back to business as usual as if I wasn’t standing there crying on the curb if you left me

Horrible greed occurring within the ranks. I bought air miles during the pandemic so I’d be ready to go when it’s over. Trying to book a flight to New York in September and guess what, no flights are available to use my miles. Don’t waste your time and money with this company. The award miles is a total scam!
